| We feed our 16 week old puppy 2 cups of food twice a day (1 cup morning 1 cup night) and some day's she get's more. We don't really measure it precisely, we have a 1 cup scoop and mound it up and give it to her. Some day's she won't even eat all her food and will only take in about a cup or so. As long as you're pup is healthy and a good weight, it's not a huge deal how much exactly you feed you're dog, it's all individual in my opinion.
My other two older pups also eat 1 or 2 times a day (some times they skip meals and won't eat for a day or so) and will eat roughly 1.5 - 2 cups a day.
We don't really stick to a schedule when it comes to them eating. We have a routine where we offer food at a certain time and if they don't eat, then they will the next meal in the evening and if they still don't eat, then maybe they'll be hungry the next day.

| Judge by what his poo looks like LOL. If it is runny, then feed him less. I have always fed mine 2 cups total per day. At that age I would recommend feeding him 3x per day, morning, noon and night. Although Yukon is almost 8 months old and if I don't feed him 4 times a day he gets sick. |

| At that age it probably wouldn't hurt feeding him smaller meals more often. Yukon always acts like he is starving so that is another reason why I feed him so often. |

| I was feeding my 3 month old husky 3x a day, 1 cup per serving. He would eat maybe .75 of the cup for breakfast and lunch and would leave the rest. It worked out well because I use whatever he doesn't eat as "training" treats throughout the day. He's always mega hungry for dinner, though.
Huskies are really good about self-regulating. They eat until they're full. |

| Typically feeding guidelines on the bag of food are high for sibes. However, at 3 months, you want to make sure you are feeding enough for a growing pup. If you have the opportunity to feed 3x a day, that may be more beneficial for a growing pup. Otherwise, 2x a day is OK.
You may want to start out with 2 cups a day (split that over the number of times you feed a day), and monitor your pup's weight and stool consistency. Your vet should be able to help you with growth and weight. If your pup should be gaining more weight, add a little more, if not, back it off. When adding food, I would recommend adding a little at a time as a big increase in food can cause loose or runny stools. Also, feeding a young pup too much food can cause loose to runny stools (which is why I stated to monitor stool consistency).
There are a few sibes that do well with regulating themselves with food, however, most of the sibes I know do not self regulate and will eat all what you give even if they are full, so keep that in mind as well.

| My girl is 3 months too and I feed her 3x per day (vet recommends it) at this age and I use a 1/2 cup measuring scoop and give her a heaping scoop everytime..if she wants more when she is done she will steer at me and I will give her more but sometimes she doesn't even eat it all and walks away. Her vet said anything up to 3 cups a day is acceptable for this age. She just had her last set of shots a couple days ago and is 18 pounds already! What is yours weighing at? PS, we should schedule a play date |

| Dakota is 10 wks old and I feed her 1 cup 3x a day, she sometimes is still hungry, sometimes doesn;t finish (not often though haha). She weights 16.6 lbs and Vet said that was perfectly normal and to continue with the feedings they way they are as she needs it for a growing pup, eventually she will go down to 2 x a day. But until then she is doing just fine. |

Have you tried feeding him more than 1/3 a cup per serving? Does he not want it? 2/3 cup a day seems like he wouldn't be getting enough that a growing puppy needs. My girl was 11 pounds at 10 weeks old and eating 3/4 a cup per serving 3x a day. Just my opinion. |

Yeah I'd also be questioning that. My female at 10 weeks weighed about 8kgs, and was getting a cup and a half plus a couple of chicken necks.. |
