| I woke up this morning and as soon as I let Vegeta down from the bed he had some water, ate a little food, and then proceeded to vomit up worms 3 times, and defecate them out as well. I'm calling the vet as soon as they open at 9....any other steps I should take?? He has been dewormed twice on 1/13 and 1/27. |

| That exact same thing happened to Siku when we first got her. I asume the breeder (actually I call the lady a puppymill now) did not properly worm her and wormed her above the recommended amount killing most of the worms all at once and causing the puppy to vomit and defecate dead worms. Anyway, get her to the vet as soon as possible. When it happened to Siku, I could see that she was suddenly very dehydrated and by the time I got her to the vet, she was clearly out of it and needed fluids ASAP. I went with an injection of fluids subdermally instead of leaving her there with an iv of fluids (costs a lot less) and besides the big bump of fluids under she skin on her back, she recovered just fine. But you can loose a puppy that young if she get too dehydrated, so getting fluids from the vet is best. _________________ -Sara |

| Thanks! In my frantic wild haste i forgot to search for other threads on this.... :/
He's calmed down now, ate a little, drank a little, but we're going in at 10 to get all of his vaccines and get him checked out. Would it be wise to bring in his stool and the worms he threw up (in separate baggies) for them to see? |

| It probably wouldn't be a bad idea. The vet is going to want to do a fecal check for sure. Just make sure it's fresh poop (or no more than 4 hours old). I'm not sure about the worms. I personally wouldn't, I would just snap a picture. |
