| Hey guys. I've been doing the rollerblading thing with my two (mostly my male, since Jenna is still young) but my brake is gone so that's been put on a halt. I've been saving up money lately, but was wondering, has anyone ever tried a gokart frame to do this type of mushing? You know, one that has a brake hooked up, but no motor on it? Those scooters are so darn expensive, and gokart frames are a dime a dozen down here.
I can't really think of any 'cons' to using a gokart frame, but then again, I've never used any equipment larger than roller blades so... xD Opinions? |

| I have a friend who uses a go-kart and she swears by it. I don't personally like feeling so trapped sitting in the kart myself, and I think the go-kart itself weight as much or more than my cart that I run 4 dogs on. So if you can find one that's light enough I'd say give it a try- |

I'd say give it a try. You've got a nice little team started lol, have you worked with the three of them on mushing yet? |

If you look at the "maya gave me a scare yesterday" thread i talked about taking all three out on my bike. Maya slipped her harness though so I'm going to wait till her custom x back comes in to give it another try. I want to get a rig sometime and have been talking to my dad about making one. We may make one once spring hits. Other then that I take Kay and Sophie out on my bike, they're great at stopping when I say and when they see a stop sign. They'll ignore other dogs when I say leave it unless Bridgette is out, she's a husky. Then they go crazy. |

| I'm working on the same thing for Saphire. My brother is helping me build a cart. Hopefully it will be done by this weekend and I will post pics for all to see. Then we can compare notes. |

| Yeah Florida doesn't get much snow lol. The biggest thing I've come up with so far as a hinderance is mobility. Unless I get something with a large trunk area or a small truck, transporting it might be an issue to get to trails. We shall see. I'll be hunting to see if I can find something. |

I'm getting a dog scooter, can't wait! If mobility is an issue you could look into one, it'd also be lighter. |
