Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Hi, I watched some dog show clips and their dogs' wools are shiny and very nice... and they said they feed good food for them to make nice hairs...
I feed Taste of the wild to my puppy which has pretty good amount of Omega 3 and 6.
What else I should do for my puppy's nice wool or hair? |

| Coat comes from many different factors... Breeding, maintenance, and nutrition are all key.
Some dogs just have very flat or thinner coats. Melissa's Kody has a very flat coat compared to my Mishka who has a fuller plushier coat. My Aussie, Ewe, also lacks coat. There are supplements to add which supposedly help to aid coat growth (I'm trying one now, inflight, for my Aussie) but in the end they can only get as "nice" of a coat as they're genetically able to.
Puppies go through a lot of changes with their coats and usually you won't see what they're real potential is until after their first blow. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| Healthy coat does come from within, and TOTW is a very good food it's what I feed my kennel. But as mentioned, breeding does play a pretty significant factor as well. Puppy coat is very different than adult coat, and will feel softer to the touch. The adult coat should have a coarseness to it. |

My female is silky and incredibly soft, which is unnatural for our breed, but it has always been this way. My male has course guard hairs, to protect his coat and full undercoat. Two different dogs and two different coats...and they eat the same things. Genetics! |
