| Subject: A quick question.. ^^/// Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:22 pm | |
| I've looked through the fourm, I havent found a specific post for this.. Forgive me for maybe repeating this.
I know there are like 3 different brushes you should have. Can anybody recommend/link which ones to get from Petco. *I posted a link to the brushes/combs below.* <3
Also, about the high violocity dryer..? Can't you just use a regular blow dryer? Or is it something different..
Thanks in advance!

for the blowers there are a ton of threads on that. your blow dryer will have no effect. maybe a shop vac on blow or a air compressor would work about the same.... _________________ |

| Thanks I appreciate it ;D! I didn't look into the blowers that much, because I just thought they were just regular blow dryers I'd use , seems I'm out smarted again |

| Is it safe to use air compressors on the dog's coat? I don't know either way, so I'm just asking... |

| I'm not to sure either, but we have a "air gun" nozzle with a trigger on it. I suppose as long as you could control the air pressure coming out of it you should be fine. That's what I plan to do when Lucian starts blowing coat. |

| Not to high-jack the thread, but I use a pin brush and a slicker brush. Are these effective enough, or should I invest in better brushes?
And how does the deshedding blade work? |

| You could use an air compressor, but if you do then you'd have to be careful as it can be too forceful and potentially do harm to the dog. I have an air compressor but I would never feel comfortable using it to blow out undercoat on a dog. I'd rather spend a little extra to ensure my dogs' safety, but to each his own. _________________ |

| There is a risk using an air compressor and that is that it can be too forceful, causing an air embolus to develop under the skin or worse in the blood stream. There are many affordable options out there as far as high velocity driers go, I'd feel more comfortable using over an air compressor. The one I use is on the upper end but I always get the results I want and none of the noise the other models produce.
