Little brat was pawing at the fence for a good bit and went out to see what it was all about...she was chasing a field mouse...Well...next thing I know she catches the little bugger and we couldn't pin her to a corner to get it out and she decides to eat it...hope nothing bad comes of this...

I would think it be ok as long as she has all her shots and the mouse hasn't been exposed to any pesticides or anything. Just keep a close eye on her for a couple days.

We have the exterminators spray every few months (been a month since last time) but they use pet/kid friendly chemicals (or so they say, I still keep her in for a bit after they do it). Shots are good though.


She's like a little Hoover Vacuum...I walk the yard EVERY day just to be certain there isn't anything unnatural she can pick up. She already got hold of a ziploc out of the trash last month (which cost us a couple hundred in emergency vet fees).

Worst case probably will be a need to de-worm in the future.

We have her on the preventative stuff so hopefully not.

I wouldn't worry. Appa eats mice and birds more frequently than you'd imagine considering he's on a 5 foot leash when it happens... No idea how he catches them so fast.

You might see it puked up as well. I would not worry to much. Make sure she is eating, drinking and pooing.

-1 Chipmunk
-5 baby moles (he only got one or two down I think, the rest we got from him and put out of their misery)
-1 mother rabbit
-3 baby rabbits
-1 turtle

This is what we've SEEN them eat-- not sure what else they may have gotten without our knowledge. This was JUST in our yard.

Only problem we had were the puked up remains of some of the chipmunk. Cleaning it up was like dissecting an owl pellet.

No problems from any of them.

was a little worried today, would barely eat. she was licking her mouth and acting funny so I sat her down in front of me (thinking maybe some mouse tail was coming back up), and open her mouth and out pops a baby tooth...maybe this is why she's been very vocal with us lately...tips for soothing the teething process? ice cubes maybe?

i think i have heard soaking a rope toy in water and freezing works well. dont think you can use whiskey on dogs teeth like you can for kids
