She's learning more every day! And the she (and Wolf) are quite photogenic.

I was going to use this on the Holiday card, but It doesn't show enough of Wolf.

That first pic is amazing, love the coloring of the entire pic , they look so good together.

She is absolutely lovely Graham, congrats on your new addition, Wolf and Ziva compliment each other nicely and btw, you need to add Ziva to who owns you where your avatar is.

If I ever get another, its gonna be a black and white with a mask...and the name is going to be Zive so I can have Siberians A-Z And in my fantasy of fantasies, if I ever have a rescue - it will be "Thundering Paws" cause that's the sound Ami and Archer make galloping down the path from the garden

Thanks everyone! She's all puppy, but she's starting to learn the rules and be more comfortable in her new home.

It is impossible to hold still unless they're sleeping, apparently.

She does really well with other dogs, but it's clear that she didn't get much of a chance to play with other dogs, especially her age and energy level.  When they're playing, she gets pretty wound up and starts getting a little too rough.  She does respond well when I step in.  

Her previous owners(s) either had her in a class, or taught her pretty well.  She can sit, shake, lay down, high-five, speak, spin around, sit pretty, and even roll over! I'll have to get a video of her rolling over, it's the most adorable thing!

Thanks, Jimmy! They're not terrible for iPhone pictures. I always try to take pictures of them in their "natural habitat" They are starting to bond. They look for each other now if one is gone.

Is Ziva a purebred?

Hey Judah, many of our dogs are rescues - and I believe Ziva is a rescue - so their lineage is open to doubt; some look like they may be purebreeds, I have two of those here, but even with the "sophistication" of a DNA test - there's no way to *really* know.

As an aside, all my dogs are pure bred, pure bred friends - what their lineage is doesn't matter a hill of beans to me.  We have people here who work and/or show their dogs, so that paper is important - more to make certain of their genetic health than for "lineage" I would imagine. I seriously doubt that most of our dogs could be bred so what's it matter?

Judah, she sure looks like a Husky! However through my research I found that she has a full AKC registration (not that it really means anything) with a lineage . I'm sure that she was intended to be bred by her first owner (which seems to becoming more common with new husky owners as a way to make money). But thankfully, she was surrendered before that happened. I never mentioned this because it doesn't really matter, does it..? I've never seen a mask like hers though. Very unique.

I was gonna say, I don't see anything but Husky in Ziva. Her mask is awesome! When I first saw her, I wondered if she was an agouti colored husky, but I think her whites are too white, regardless, she is one beautiful husky...as is Wolf of course, the two of them look amazing together

She does have a unique look to her and she is beautiful. What prompted me to ask were the freckles on her nose, I've never seen those on a husky before.

I didn't mean to be rude and I apologize if I came off that way. I read a lot about dog genetics and I love looking up mixed breeds to see how they turn out. Mixed breeds aren't a bad thing in my book at all and papers mean little to nothing to me. Just curious, sorry again.

Judah, I was not offended in the slightest. Just mentioning what I found out about her. Freckles I've seen before, but the black stripes on her muzzle are new to me.
