| Sam, I forgot there were reds in those movies! My sister-in-law told me mine don't look like the huskies you see on tv cause Willow and Aspen weren't as fluffy, therefor she said they were too skinny. An interesting tidbit of mine....Dakota's mom was a tiny black & white and his dad was a huge red & white. Dakota ended up at the large end as a black & white. Much to my surprise when I picked Willow up, her mom was a tiny black & white and her dad was again, a large red & white. She is on the large size of a female red & white. The only red of the litter. I know there is nothing rare about this, it just pleased me to know Willow and Dakota had this in common. |

| We used to get the wolf comment almost daily with our big male b & w husky. Our neighborhood has some rough edges so we just let them think that we was a wolf. Except children - then we would explain that he's just a dog. Lola gets a few wolf comments. We get more of the what kind of dog is that. I find it interesting when people say I've never seen a brown husky before. Lo is pretty red - not as deep red as Chili but obviously red. |

| Karlie's mom was a red with blue eyes and her dad was a b/w with blue eyes (she's a parti-eye). From what I saw, a little less than half her litter was red. When we were looking, my hubby didn't want a "brown" husky and I had to correct him and point out that they're actually red. Now from what I was told a red husky with blue eyes is rare? I don't think that's true but I don't know? |

| I've gotten asked many man times what Tika is mixed with because she is small, her coloring, and has Amber eyes.
The real funny thing however is the people who tend to assume Tika is mixed are the same people who are SURE Ripley is purebred. I've had far more questions on Tika's breeding then Ripley's for some reason I don't think I'll ever understand.

I have always wanted a red with amber eyes. I think even among the reds on the forum the most prevalent eye color is blue... The amber is just so striking, IMO!! |

| I get it quite often too. Since Rebel is a dirty face, a lot of people make the "wolf" comment or ask what breed he is. Everyone is always surprised when I say he's a husky. I wish he had brown/amber eyes! He has beautiful almond-shaped blue eyes, though Loki is stunning! He's so big!! |

| I think it's funny that people think reds are wolves. I think reds look least like wolves as I can't recall any picture of a wolf with red markings like a husky, and I've seem a lot of pictures of wolves. I used to be obsessed when I was younger. Haha. |

I get this all the time. I try to laughingly tell them huskies can have brown eyes too, but you can tell they don't believe me! |

| I was walking Maxi last week and I heard a kid saying "he is just a puppy now, when he will grow he will tun black" of course his excuse was that he was just around 10 years old and i took my time to explain, that he can get a little darker, but he will never get black. But to hear older ppl saying that , well i think that it's just so stupid. I had also other kids asking about his eyes and the same I tried to explained, in kids words, that they will not change and it's a husky thing, even if i know they are other dogs that have different colored eyes but they are not so many like huskies |
