| The girl who owns Axel really likes that I know about the breed. You guys were a really nice reference, thanks! He is 14 weeks old, and i guess the timing is just wrong for the couple to have another puppy. They currently have a 4 yr old female, who clearly, is a little lower maintenance. It's nice because it actually feels like corresponding with a person adopting out a beloved pet, versus someone trying to sell something. They got him at 6 weeks, so I am going to ask her about mouthing, but beyond that i am really excited! They trained him to sit and wait for food, and are crate training him as well, so I get a nice little head start this time! Without further ado, Axel! http://portlandor.ebayclassifieds.com/dogs-puppies/washougal/akc-registered-siberian-husky-puppy-14-weeks-old/?ad=24292944&msg=OUT_OF_AREA |

| He's cute! $500 to me is kinda steep, but at least he comes with some training. I only paid $300 for Juneau on CL. Make sure he has all of his shots! Good luck! Two reds! Can't have just one, eh?! I think my next one will be a gray/white one. |

| I can sure ask her Megan. The story is that mom started rejecting the pups at 5 weeks, and they had to be weened. I am not sure on the 6 weeks though. She says she has the paperwork though, so I suppose I will see? She has a 4 year old female also, who she says came from the same place.
In any case, I am very excited! |

| I just find it very odd that is all - as I know Galena is very strict about 8 week policies.

| I know Susan Callahan personally and I know she would NEVER let one of her puppies go before 8 weeks of age to a puppy client. Secondly, this puppy IF it were one of Susan's Galena Creek puppies would have been sold on contract to go back to her IF for any reason they could not keep the puppy NOT to be sold on ebay classifieds or end up in a shelter. I don't think this is the 'real deal' it does not look like one of her puppies, but I have made Susan aware of the ad if in the even this is one of hers. |

| My 2 cents on being returned to the breeder if buyer decides against keeping the pup. Most people would prefer not to admit "defeat" by returning the pup to the breeder. MANY breeders will NOT refund your payment, so be sure you check the return clause in a contract, if it doesn't state refund don't expect much cooperation on that end.
Adobo, was suppose to be returned to breeder pup, the original buyer sold/ turned her over to the 2nd owner at 5 months. The breeder of what I was told refused refund of any sort 1st owner said screw you. My opinion is yeah if breeder really wanted her back then they would file suit/sue em but never do. I became her 3rd owner at 17 months and what a PITA she was, Mylo, became her mentor and finally became the wonderful diva that she is.
Sean, enjoy your new pup and leave the history behind. Your postings have always been worthy of reading. |

| Story does sound strange coming from a reputable breeder. My two cents is I would be contacting Galena Creek. If the puppy is from there, I would want it verified before I paid $500. If you're worried about her taking the puppy back, I would think that by contacting her first, you are proving that you are responsible and a reputable breeder wouldn't have any issues adopting out to you (because I know from here that you are a wonderful husky owner and I'm sure she'll see that too). Know what you're getting before you adopt. Nothing wrong with adopting a non-breeder-quality dog... but paying $500 for it is a different story. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Any reputable breeder has a contract stating first right of refusal on any of their puppies. Should they have to refund the puppy client that is giving up on their dog, I don't believe so unless there was something wrong with the puppy. Which doesn't appear that this is the case for this puppy. Sad to say that if they took this pup to the shelter they wouldn't get a refund either. If this is one of Susan's and if she does end up taking the puppy back, I will be sure to help you get in contact with her to see if this pup could still end up with you. But ethically, and responsibly the breeder should know when one of theirs ends up on an internet listing or shelter. |

I don't think you are going to find many here that disagree. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Yeah my dogs aren't even from reputable breeders and I signed contracts on all of them saying if I couldn't keep them, I was required to give my dogs back for little, or no price. I know Zoey's breeder has already taken two pups back, Zoey was one of them and I bought her at 14 weeks, and then Zoey's sister from another litter, which her breeder decided to keep |
