| I was petting Bode the other day and noticed a pimple like growth kind of in his front armpit area. It's oval shaped, slightly red and hair is still growing through it. It didn't seem to bother him when I touched it. Is it anything to worry about? I am probably going to be taking him to the vet sometime within the next few weeks to get going on his neuter, so I will probably point it out to her then. Any ideas? It's tough to get a pic of because he has so much fur and getting him to sit still while making the growth visible through fur is a chore...

| It looks like it has gotten bigger and more irritated since I looked at it a day or two ago. He doesn't go in for his neuter until Nov. 8. Should I make an appt. to get it checked out or wait and see if it goes away? |

| Is that something that goes away on its own or needs to be treated?
Edit: so from the quick google search, it says that hot spots usually get bad quick, like within hours. It's been four or five days since I noticed it. He also doesn't seem to be paying attention to it, although when I touch it now he acts like it itches. I decided to give him a Benadryl to see if that helps at all if its some kind of reaction to a bite or something. If it doesn't, I'll probably try to get him in at the vet tomorrow. |
