Hi guys! I have a 5 year old female Siberian and have noticed a black mole-like growth near her left eye that is very small, and also one on her paw. I have never been too alarmed but was just wondering if this is something anyone else has noticed in the breed and if it is cause for alarm and a visit to our vet. Any input is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!

Anything unusual is technically a reason to visit the vet, but honestly it could be any number of things based on that description.... any pics? I'm sure people will offer advice but in the end everyone will recommend you visiting a vet to be sure.

I had this issue with my husky, there are various forms of benign cysts/growths that can be either surgically removed or freezed with a cryo treatment. My husky lived with one for about 2 years but it would cause minor inflammation in her eye (red eye) on occasion so had it removed when she was in surgery for another issue.

These are usually nothing serious as long as they dont grow to create issues such as inflammation on the lense/retina.

I would visit the vet to be sure. It probably is nothing, like a benign cyst or an ingrown hair, but there is a small chance it could be serious. I would go just for peace of kind.
