Well everything seems to be coming along great! Shadow just got his final parvo shots, teeth are comming out, can finally explore now! My Question is that shadow only weighed 15 pounds at the vets but he is in perfect health. I'm wandering if he is a late bloomer? He eats 2-3 times a day with totw. His mom was 40 and dad was 55 pounds?? What are your thoughts?? Thanks!

How old Shadow? Considering his last shots, 4 months? Titus was 35 pounds when I got him at 4 1/2 months old. But he's on a bigger side. He's 68 pounds now at 16 months old. I would say that if the vet thinks he's in perfect health, there shouldn't be any problem. As a young puppy he should get 3 meals a day. Cheers

How old is he?

Each husky is different, some are lighter in weight but are still perfectly healthy and others are larger in weight and still very healthy also. We have mum, dad & son in our pack, and Compton (the son) is biggest out of the 3 of them by about 9lbs, he weighs about 64lbs, Halli (mum) weighs about 48lbs, and Brooklyn (dad) weighs about 55lbs and all of them are perfectly healthy and have great shape about them. How old is Shadow?
Ours did most of their growing from about 5months - 1 year and from then they just filled out. If the vet has said he is healthy and he doesn't look skinny or under weight (can't see his ribs) then i would not worry too much, going by your avatar he looks healthy. He is still young, it will only be a few months before he is bigger and you will look at him wondering where your little puppy went, lol.

Sorry guys totally forgot to put his age! He will be 4 1/2 months on thursday and I would say still he is around 20 pounds or so. He gets his rabies shot on thursday. So I'll know his weight then. He only eats about 2 cups a day? Maybe time will just take its course I guess. I have a feeling he will have a growth spurt soon and just shoot up like a weed!

My guy was about 20-24 pounds at that age, I also worried but the vet said he was healthy and as long as he is gaining weight I wouldn't be too concerned. Rue is 6 months and about 34 pounds.

I wouldn't worry if the vet says he is in perfect health. My Loki was consider on the small side when he was a younger pup. He had a big growth spurt early he went from 20lbs to 31lbs in a month.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I think it sounds normal. Saphire is also on the small side and was just shy of 20 lbs at 4 months and just shy of 35lbs at 6 months.
