Just about every time I'm busy in the kitchen Ezio wants to get under my feet. If I'm doing the dishes he shoves his head between my leg and the cabinet below the sink and just rests there even though it doesn't seem comfortable. If I'm trying to stir something on the stove he does the same thing. He doesn't need to go out, isn't hungry/thirsty. I'm thinking it might just be an attention thing, but it's funny how he has no interest (or is just napping) until I'm trying to cook dinner or clean. But it is really cute.

Demon will lay right in the middle of the kitchen floor when I'm cooking so that I either have to step over him or go around him.

Sounds like he's positioning himself in the best spot for food to come falling down from above. _________________

All three dogs in the house decide they want to lay at the feet of anyone who enters the kitchen. Everyone always says "a chihuahua? don't you step on him?!!" when in reality, he gets out of the way. It's the big ones that just sit there and get under foot. It makes carrying any bowl/pot with liquid in it quite the challenge.

haha my guy also likes to sit in the middle of the kitchen, or sit behind my feet when I'm not paying attention so I almost trip over him. Between that and my cat trying to sniff everything on the counter, cooking has become quiet the circus act

Dakota does the same thing, he could be upstairs chewing on one of my daughters toys and i go in to the kitchen to boil a pot of water and boom there is Dakota right between me and the counter. If he see's me handling food then I'm subjected to whimpering and barks and adorable looks.

That right there is Kody!!! Doesn't fail! Not easy to do dishes with a husky in between you and the sink! Plus I'm short so that doesn't help |

Appa used to do that, but his bed is right off the kitchen and we made a habit out of making him go to his bed before we give him any treats from what we're cooking. Now he runs straight to his bed and then huffs and puffs until we toss him a piece.

Willow used to do this all the time before I decided I had tripped over her one too many times. Now she has to wait at the other end of the kitchen with Aspen. Aspen gave a respectable distance from day one.

My husky always trips my husband when he's doing things it cracks me up! I make the dogs sit out of the kitchen area while I cook because it never fails Kodi wants to shake and then we end up with these 3" long husky hairs in our meal.
