False alarm! I never should of doubted them, they truly are a great company and Claire has always been on top of everything for me! I know I sent them the complete wrong measurements but with his breed, weight and length, they made it all make sense and the harness fits wonderfully! I'm so glad that means I don't have to return something that they worked hard on, and it won't cost me any more money. I cannot wait for snow and to test out skijoring with their harnesses and belt.

Oh yay! I'm glad it all worked out! She was a big help with me when I did my measurements. I doubted them the first time and she said they didn't look right for his breed. But when I remeasured she said they looked much better and I submitted my order with no issues. His harness came in and it fits perfectly. Smile

What were their measurements I got assistance from my vet to measure Loki. His measurements were 21"neck, 21" breastbone to base of tail and, 15" for the last measurement.

Glad it fits! When I went to order my x-back (from someone else) I ended up skyping someone to help me do all the measurements. There were a couple times where I went under the body instead of around or vice versa and she'd have to correct me so having that extra help definitely helps out when you have no idea what you're doing!

This makes me feel so much better that I'm not an idiot, and that these harnesses aren't the easiest things to measure for! And Jason, I don't know what the measurements were in the end, I will have to measure the harness when I get home tonight. They basically got my measurements threw them aside and made it what they thought it should be because mine were really that bad!

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I emailed alpine about a 'garage' sale they were having that I saw on one of the husky groups. I was interested in a scooter noodle that was the first generation (half the price of the current one) since my pvc attachment broke, and also asked about the harnesses that they were selling off and how to properly read the measurements.

I got a response fairly quickly, within an hour? And it was late at night too so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until the morning. She answered all of my questions, made sure I understood how the measurements were written out, and even told me she would send me a picture of the scooter noodle in the morning. Which she actually followed up on - the next morning I got a picture of my scooter noodle.

Yesteray I emailed back, unfortunately none of the harnesses would fit - I was actually only getting them as back-ups since Link has one and Yuki has one being made by my other harness maker so it wasnt a big deal, but my tug-line has had quite some abuse dealt to it so I told her I was interested in buying a two-dog line off the store, but was wondering if I could do the garage sale invoice for the scooter noodle separately, but have the tug-line and the noodle shipped together under one shipping fee. She said it was no problem so I was happy about that, and I got my order in that night through the store, sent the invoice of $10 for the noodle, and emailed her back saying everything should be in order.

Another quick response that night and she said that my order will ship out tomorrow! (which is today now).

Definitely pleased with my experience thus far - I was very apprehensive about ordering after seeing a lot of people having orders lost/not processed, customer service not getting back, and that it took months for things to come in, but I am very happy to say that my experience was the complete opposite with prompt replies and quick order placement. Will update this when my order comes in to see if it holds true to it being shipped out today.

Thats awesome Megan. I have never had problems with them, and Claire there is always so amazing with responses and helping out!

What kind of items do they have in the garage sale? Do you have any idea?

Yes, Claire is the one who helped me! Very happy with her prompt replies, as I'm sure she had a lot of people inquiring!
Here's the link to the garage sale: http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/test/candypress/scripts/openExtra.asp?extra=21

Collars, leads, harnesses that didn't fit for some people, basically clearing out their inventory of stuff they don't need.
And here's the first generation scooter noodle, very similar to the current one but half the price.

I'll make another thread for the garage sale Smile

Thanks for positing the link cause I couldn't find it on their website. I'm such a sucker for a sale, that I had to get a couple of things, even though I didn't necessarily need them. I'm hoping they have an urban trail harness that will fit Nikolai cause he chewed through part of his.
