| I went away to my mum's place for a few hours which ended up being an over night thing. Freya was left on her own with food, water and pleanty of toys. She was in the laundry, kitchen and hallway area, as well as my son's bedroom as she has figured out hot to open his door. It is usually the same place I leave her, she had all the usual things she normally has when I leave the house. The only difference is, I usually only leave her for a couple of hours and this was over night. I knew there was a possibility of it being an over night thing so I made sure she had pleanty of dry food and pleanty of water.
When I got back yesterday afternoon I was greeted by diarrhea EVERYWHERE! She'd eaten maybe 2/3 of one meal worth of food, and I gave her enough for the time I was away. She is now eating again, running around, happy as larry, but still seems to have the diarrhea. There were some chewed up craft items in my son's bedroom, but everything seems in tact. There werent any little bits indicating that she's broken things into smaller pieces.
She even soiled her crate last night, which is very unusual. It was just one small loose BM.
I googled stress Diarrhea and the fact that she went off her food, destroyed my sons bedroom, and had diarrhea everywhere as well as now being very happy, and playful. I'm more inclined to believe it's from the seperation than anything nasty. She doesnt seem to be in pain, she is running and jumping, and has eaten a small amount of dry food.
She seems back to her normal self, but still has the loose BMs. Is it something that will go away on it's own or should I give her a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Pumpkin kongs etc ?

| My puppy has seperation anxiety and when we were away visiting my sister a couple weeks ago my boyfriend hurt his ankle and we had to go to the hospital and left Cally with my sister and brother in law (whom she had been around all day and the day before) and she had really bad diarrhea, in the morning when I was home it was back to solid. Same thing happened that night when we went out to the casino she got bad diarrhea again and the next morning back to solid. I think this is a stress thing! Give her a little pumpkin, should help |

| I would put her on a chicken and rice and pumpkin diet if she had anymore or maybe as a per caution.
We have been having problems with diarrhea with both Blaze and Kerian. I put them on a boil chicken and rice with yogarit and some pumokin for a few days. My vet gave them some meds for diarrhea and high fiber food for a couple of days this seem to do the trick. Maybe ids has done the trick Last night they both had an bout with diarrhea
If she has diarrhea for 2 days or more take her to the vet cause she will need to be check by the vet for several other things like worms, she may have eaten something that is causing it. |

| Thanks, I'm going to boil up some chicken nad rice right now and give that to her for a few days.
I had to take my son to school for an hour and a half. I just got back now and there was no accidents, so I'm feeling confident about that. She is outside running around now with the boys, so she is in good enough spirits.. |

| If it's stress diarreha, they should be able to correct themselves on their own within 24-36 hours providing their routine goes back to normal. A little pumpkin or plain non-fat yogurt (with active cultures) can help them along. If you're still having issues with diarreha, a partial bland diet can also help. My female does not do well with rice, so I will usually go with green beans, carrots or peas for fiber and non-grain option. If it continues for a few days, then go with a full bland diet and work your way back to what you were feeding prior. _________________ |

| Thanks, I'm going to give her a bland diet and see how she goes with that. I'm doing the pumpkin and natural yoghurt as well.
Thanks, I really appreciate it. |

| Freya has just done a BM and it is begining to thicken up. She has eaten a little dry food during the day, but nothing compared to the amount she would normally eat, but then has gone on to eat a large amount of chicken this evening. I'm confident that by tomorrow night things will well nad truley be on the fast track back to normal. |
