| Hello So we got Luna today, we stopped by our local Petco store and we bought a toy which she love. Newman's own premium dog treats peanut butter, but the bag said medium size so we will return it. We also bought a kibble as well, she hardly touch her blue wildness. We have not train her yet because we want her to get to know the house. Tomorrow will be training day. The problem I have is that every time we feed her water she always put her paws in the bowl and scratch or digging it, which get the floor messy. We thinking because she see her reflection or something. How can we stop that? |

| Danzig did and still does this. I never got him to stop...obviously. I just refill it when it's empty and have these cute dog bone shaped cloth place mats to put the water bowl on. Now that he's older, he realizes he can't dig it all out, else he'll have nothing to drink. |

| We had the same problem with Ghost, and honestly she did it for months before finally growing out of it. We scolded her every time we caught her doing it, but it didn't deter her much. She eventually grew out of doing it in the house, but still does it at the dog park. Just keep a towel by your dish, and maybe don't keep the dish of water out all the time. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | My Luna did the same thing, she will still do it every once and a while but we never corrected her or anything she just stopped doing it. Now she just falls asleep in her dish |

| I remember digging of the water bowl lol ... I never found a solution to it. I simply put a towel under the bowl and it helped the floor from getting soaking wet. I also got a kiddy pool to stick outside and they dug away in that thing. After I got that, they seemed to stop digging inside, so perhaps try getting her a kiddy pool. |

| Anna did this as well. She did it when she was too hot after our walks and since the water bowl was on the linoleum she would lay in the cold water she spilled everywhere to cool off. She hasn't really done it since I put a towel under the bowl and continued to tell her no every time she did it. I would have let her do it if she wasn't ruining the carpet in our apartment that also got soaked in the process. I just proceeded to move the bowl into her crate. |

Kiddy pools are great for huskys. Now that I think about it, Danzig stopped digging in his bowl ALL the time after we got him one. |

| Rue used to do that to his water bowl as well. What I did is never filled the bowl high enough for him to accomplish much digging, so he had a bit to drink and then I would refill it several times a day. That got him to stop digging in his water bowl at home. However he still digges at all the other water bowls he can get his hands on not at home. |
