Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | My friend just lost one of her great danes (she wasn't even 2yrs old yet) from someone throwing a bag of chocolate chips into her yard. Thank goodness her other dane and brother's dog didn't eat the chocolate too. Her dogs are outdoor only dogs, so who knows when they came across the chocolate. _________________ -Sara |

| That is sad to hear Sara, sorry to hear about her lose. I can't believe anyone would do that but we live in a sad world anymore. I imagine they were in a fenced in yard and a person purposely put the bag there. So sad. Tell your friend sorry for her loss and thoughts are with her and the other danes. |

| They have an invisible fence. But from the track the dogs have made, it is pretty clear where the fence ends. Plus, you have to go pretty far onto their property to get to it, so it's not like someone could have just thrown it from the road. _________________ -Sara |

| We had some punk kid go around trying to feed the neighborhood dogs anti-freeze, luckily they were caught. I'm so sorry for her loss. |

That's how my boyfriend's cat got killed. His neighbor didn't like loose cats, so he left anti-freeze out to kill them. It was terrible. _________________ -Sara |

| I'm so sorry to hear that - my sympathies to your poor poor friend! I really hope maybe it was just a young kid trying to be nice not realising? I remember when I was very young my mum once screamed at me because she found me feeding the dogs chocolate - obviously at 5/6 years old I had no idea! Thoughts go out to them :-( |

| Oh no! So awful! Someone threw a donut with poison into my neighbor's yard and her great dane pup died too. They brought her to animal control for testing to see what it was, but I never did get an answer from the neighbors about what kind. Can't believe that chocolate chips could kill such a large dog. So sad. |
