| So we have 1 month to go for me to get the calendar finished. i am building it on shutterfly. Tori and Meredith have seen it. it is a 8.5x11 wall calendar. they do a volume discount at 25 calendars, its a $300 buy in. that makes each one $12, i looked into flat rate shipping and i think its about $5, if we want to do a $5 donation to a to be named rescue and we have 25+ people getting a calendar we can raise $125+ for the to be named rescue. that would make each calendar $22 for each of them. i would really like to know a head count and im wondering if i should just start collecting the money now for those that for-sure what one to help offset the cost of the buy in, only issue is if we don't get 25 people the cost will go up, right now they have 40% off calendars and im sure we could wait around for them to run that offer again. with the holidays im sure they will. that brings each one to $12.60 so we would just have less money going to the rescue. i think doing a paypal payment would be the easiest thing. this is only the 2nd time we have done a thing like this and im trying to figure out the best way to go about it. how do you all feel about this and with collecting money before the order? i can keep it all in the paypal account till im ready to place the order and i hope to get them all out before Christmas, or the new yr. _________________ |

| I'm definitely in for one. If there's leftovers at the end and we need some extras to reach that 25, I'll opt for a second.
I think collecting the money before hand is a good idea since you'll have a good baseline. Plus, we all pretty much know what we're getting so I don't see why not buy ahead of time. It's not like buying something major sight unseen.
As far as the donation to the rescue, isn't there a way on PayPal that would could pay the, say, $12 for the calendar and then each of us can individually add however much we want to go towards the rescue? Like just for example say I tack on an extra $10, someone else can add on $5 if they want, while someone else does $20, etc. That way everyone has the option to donate more or less to fit their budget? I don't know if that's possible but I thought I'd mention it. |

| Shae and anyone else, feel free to donate more if you can, i was hoping to get at least $5 from everyone. what would happen is i would use the $300 for the calendars the $5 each for shipping and what ever else is left in the paypal account goes to the winning rescue. what we did with the t shirts was everyone who bought got to give one vote to a husky rescue of their choice, all the names go into a hat and we pick one rescue to receive the $ from us. i will think of setting up the paypal for monday. i never use mine so i got to go in and find my info and see if i can set something up just for this thing. and get back to you all next week on it. just wanted to let you all know im working on it still _________________ |

| Sounds good! Let me know if I can be any help!
I was also wondering if to save on shipping, members that live near by can be shipped together to one location. If they ship before the New Year, I'm pretty close to Tori, so if she'd be willing I could drive up her way to pick mine up. I know there's a bunch of other people fairly close together. I'm just thinking up ideas. I don't even know if it'll be cheaper to ship them to one address than each one individually but just in case! That'll save more money for the rescue! |
