Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Coco was very excited... It's even pink dog bone camo!... Sioux wasn't up for a fitting... A closer look at the thing. It has a bladder and an additional pocket that can probably carry food... ...and Tambi's... We are SO ready for hiking. |

| Heh. Tjmaxx, the clearance bucket thing up by the registers. Just as we walked in there were a bunch of ceramic bowls and stuff, then on the other side in a bin... these three items and a raincoat for a poodle sized dog.
$10, $10 and $6. |

| I hate you so much! i wish we had some TJmaxes by us. you find the best deals! everyone looks so great with their new packs so is it like a spout that lets the water out instead of the sucking us humans have to do? |

| ¿What do you guys mean? It's just like draining a waterbed through a window. Using some sort of hydrodynamics to get the water to drain over a point higher above the source itself. Elementary my dear Watsons. Once the valve is open, if the end is lower than the bladder, it flows freely into whatever dish of choice. I believe there has to be an air bubble in the bladder to make it work, and work it does. |

| Cool idea. I'll have to check our TJMAxx more often. Or have my Mom-in-law be on the lookout, as she LOVES shopping there! |

| OMG- I was totally thinking that they suck on the straw like people do with camelpacks. LOL, didn't even cross my mind that the straw was just used to flow into a dish. I'm a dufous. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| I've already figured it out. There's a very delicate balance between the two adjustments on the right side, not too much on either strap. The lower strap is the longer and first adjusted point. I got five miles out of them before they swayed due to water usage. It needs to be readjusted each time it's used to stay tight. That kinda sucks, but I'm very confident I know how to make them work.
...and Malamutes are much broader than Huskies. That helps quite a bit too. |
