Haha as the title says, which one of you gets annoyed with their huskies and how come?

Saya is a naughty girl I must say. Today it was raining alot here in NYC so we couldn't take her out for her usual walk in the morning, what a nightmare this was. We live in a big apartment,because of the weather she is always in a room with the AC on. Well today it was about 60 degrees so I decided to let her spent time with me in the living room more than she usually does. Well she decided that anything and everything in sight was going to go in her mouth. Knocked down my mothers flower. Started pulling my laptop charger. Eventually after I couldn't take it anymore I yelled at her to stop. Well she stared at me put her head down, then slowly got up and was back to biting. I yelled at her again and she decided to ignore me completely. So I went to plan B, When she is being naughty I gently hit her forehead.(No I don't abuse the love of my life, I tap her forehead and she stares at me and stops doing whatever she is doing, does anybody else tap their husky to get their attention?) Well after being calm for a while she decided to have a go at it again, at this point I had enough and took her to her room, and left her there with my sister, she let me know how she felt about it by barking suer loud.After a while I headed to the room to a nice surprise haha apparently saya is currently on a mission trying to escape my house and get to the apartment next door. There is a Hole that she started making by biting the wall. Ulala although my husky annoy me all the time with her stubbornness and her mischievousness I must admit that I love my dog more than anything in the world

well let's see. diego turns the light switches on and off constantly, just for fun. he howls in the cats face and she bops him in the head with a paw or two. he insists on sleeping on top of clean clothes in the laundry basket while i'm in the process of folding, only to cover them with hair and make me wash them again. he likes to hide shoes so that I can never leave the house with a pair without running around trying to find shoe #2. he also likes to pounce on the step on the garbage can so that the top will open and close and make a realllllyyyy annoying clanking sound. if i'm working on my laptop he figures he should lay right on top of it on my lap, as if anything else in the world getting ANY of my attention besides him is useless. lol

yes he's annoying at some point every single day but he's my baby and i wouldnt give him up for the world

We do not tap and rarely yell. Yelling at our house just means you are going to get barked at. ...And Sabaka can bark louder than we can yell. We make her look at us and then speak in a low, sometimes even growly voice.

How old is Saya? With proper training, attention and exercise I promise she will get better.

At just over a year and a half old, Sabaka's most annoying traits are that he barks, howls, whines or awhoo-whoos when we are eating dinner. Usually he ends up briefly in time-out and that works like a "reset" button for him. He also digs holes in the yard; however, not as many as he used to!

Saya is only 3 months old still has a lot to learn, and I'm praying that she does, because up until ow it has been a hell of a ride, super fun, but it can get stressful at times haha. And I see Saya just stares at me when I yell or try to correct her and probably says to herself"Look at this fool trying to control me, I'm having fun now let me be." Haha well like I say I tap her head she stares at me and stops most of the time, today a time out was required though,but geesh when she gets a time out she gets way too loud, I did not know huskies barked so loudly

Sapphira is also 3 months old born on april 11th but I dont tap or yell I just gently bend down and look at her and tell her no that's bad and to go to time out. She hates it but it really is like a reset button....for about an hour lol. I take her for about a mile walk a day around town and its not nearly enough to wear her out. When I'm not looking she will steal my things like socks phone keys shoes pen to my kindle the list goes on. But really all shes trying to do is play so I go along with it. When I'm filling up her water dish she goes crazy like a wild banchee (spelling?) Howling and aroo-roooing jumping up and down doing zoomies around the house and what not. It truly is a site to see. Also her puppy pads are a joke in her eyes I gave up on those on day one when she literally shredded it into a billion peices! But I love my baby girl no matter what!

Haha I see, When I bend down to tell saya what to do she does either one of three things
1.She licks my chin 2.She playsfully try to give me a soft bite on my cheeks or some random part of my face 3.Sha catches me off guard and barks so loudly that I have to jump up before I get a heart attack

Haha Lycus is 7 and 1/2 months old and he has a bad habit of standing up next to my desk and constantly stealing my things! And if it is anything food related, the "drop it" command is completely worthless! Also, chewing on my little fruit trees growing outside. Every time I let him go outside, I have to keep a close watch before he tears off another branch!

My two only get taps when they are biting or yelling at me. It's pretty effective for me.

Most annoying things: Kya will mouth my hand, my arm and my face (if I let her..in bed..) and she mouths off. She is about to be 2 (in August) and is finally showing her "husky colors." Normally, if it is something to do with her mouth (like the mouthing or talking back) I'll grab her snout with my hand in her mouth so that she can't talk or close her mouth, get close to her face and tell her "Excuse me?" and she will hang her head and let out a huge snorting sigh.

Rio, on the other hand, likes to jump on me, and then DRAG her nails down the back of my thigh, or the front of my thigh, or my stomach, or any body part she can. I have not broken her of that yet, because when I "knee" her, she falls over screaming like I killed her, and then I just feel guilty. lol

I know what you mean! You just look at them the wrong way and they're howling and screaming like someones beating them. I read somewhere huskies are super dramatic when it comes to that lol

Haha @ Tiffany I get what you mean about the guilty part. I decided to tap saya on her head because the other suggestion about grabbing them by their back or their necks like their mother would do seems to be painful.When I grab her sometimes she cries as if I'm about to murder her so I let her go and instantly feel super bad for doing that to her. So I decide to tap her since it does not hurt her and she actually stops

Lucky is at 5 mos old and he's doing it all. He doesn't howl much but he loves to talk. He's got more like a roo roo / woo woo talk when. Especially when he wants something. At these ages they need something to do and the momemnt he's bored he let's us know with his piercing barks....non stop. I'm scared a neighbor might call AC on us like we're hurting him or leaving him in the heat too long.
After watching Chance and Kayla 'teach' him when he's being bad I noticed they'll bite with no pressure. So when I need him to calm down I do hold his neck where mom and dad do and he'll just lay down...that's his timeout. I guess I'm learning from C+K.
The biting is what annoys the most. I'm hoping it goes away soooooooon!

What annoys me is Luna knows when we are leaving the dog park or doing something she doesn't want to do and she will plop her butt down and start howling and whining in a full out temper tantrum.I get the weirdest looks because she literally makes it sounds like I'm killing her! She drives me crazy!

Taking mika to the dog park and she finds her "pool" - its a water bowl though.



at least i took the truck that day and learned she does this everytime now.

Annoying?... hmmmm... Well Tama hates to sleep in, or let anyone else sleep! He is up with the sun at 530, which during the school year is my wake-up time, but now that I am on summer vacation, well he still is up by 6 or harrassing you till 7 which is his fav time of the day.... FOOD!!!!!

lol his internal clock runs around dinner times (his fav word) he will bark, paw, take your hand in his mouth and try and pull you out of bed... he will bring you toys, bones, and jump on your head on the bed, and best of all, he pulls all the covers off of you... very persistant!

he always seems to get me (mum) outta bed, lucky daddy gets left alone! He will bug me all morning too, no time for tea and this am he ran away with my tea biscuits. He will chew everything and bark consantly to get outside, and back in, and outside, and back in lol!

He is almost 8 months old and never stops.... annoying yes, but I love him and he always comes in for hugs and kisses... he is a goof and we love him dealy. He has made us a family not just a couple, and We are forever grateful for that.

Where do I start...

I hate when I'm driving and Embry stands behind my seat with his front paws on the headrest and drools on me. I hate drool.
I hate when Embry whines in the car, in the house, in the yard, anywhere.
I hate when they play on me.
I hate when the play/growl while I'm on the phone or doing something that I need to be paying attention to.
I hate how Ares wants to put every fabric item in his mouth and play tug of war with it.
I hate that Ares wants to sit in my lap when I'm driving.


Obviously I'm extremely irritable

In reality, I never get annoyed with Juno. I was told when I got her that I just inherited a "2-year old child. Treat her as such." Truer words were never spoken. Her unconditional love is such I can never get upset with her. As I type this she is curled up on my feet under the desk--sound asleep. A trainer told me once not to look for the bad things she does, concentrate to the good things. It has made a world of difference. You can always replace a couch, chair, carpet, pillow, etc.--but you can never replace the love and companionship of a Sibe.

When Ava was a puppy, I was genuinely concerned that she would grow up to think her name was "Dammit Ava." She still has moments where she hits a certain level of crazy and I get to use her "full name"

Actually I really don't get annoyed with Balon he is so much easier of a pup than my lab was.

Yep, yep I'm with you!!! I HATE Kody's whining/crying in the car! Oh, and the playing ON top of us! Hubby I think gets more frustrated than me. They have the "other" couch, the yard, the floor, but nope Kody and Asia MUST play right where we are. They prefer on the bed while we're laying in it!

Other than that I get annoyed at 6am when they refuse to let me sleep! When the three are laying in the kitchen while I cook. Our kitchen is beyond little! When they play the stubborn game driving me insane. Oh, and when Mya tries to referee Kody and Asias playing!

OMG I do that too! It's usually always Rebel, though lol.

Indy doesn't do much to annoy me. He's actually a very mellow husky! He still gets a little possessive about food when other dogs are around, so he gets fed in his kennel. He also likes to grunt/growl when it's bed time. He gets super cranky and just groans the whole way to his kennel like he's saying "Uuuuuuuuuugh, noooooooo." lol.

Rebel... Well, he is a 3 month old husky puppy lol! We're getting there though! He still has his accidents, he tries to jump over the baby gate and just plows it over. He's still learning the house rules, so he is still trying to be the dominant dog. He LOVES sleeping on the air vents in the floors! It blocks the ac and gets fur all inside. He HATES the sun. If I try to get him to go potty outside and we're not in the shade, he throws a fit and refuses to use the bathroom. I swear.

Maggie follows me everywhere. I trip over her constantly, she has to be right next to me or my hubby.

@ shaina i get what you mean when saya sees the sun she says no way jose im not stepping in there." promtly throws herself to the ground and refuses to move an inch. That is what my lovely husky loves to do
