2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

The Adventures of Dog Walking Empty
PostSubject: The Adventures of Dog Walking   The Adventures of Dog Walking EmptyThu Jul 12, 2012 11:19 pm

So I haven't really walked my dogs around town just at the reservoir and I decided id rather walk around town now. I never realized how many dogs were in town. But anyways yesterday she did good on her walk she loved it! She was very scared when we approached other dogs she literally tried to climb up my legs and back. I ended up carrying her a few times but over all she had a good time. Today we took the same route and as we were passing a house a pit bull got to the door and was going nuts trying to get out at us. So a child not seeing us let the dog out with no leash at all and I scooped up my baby as fast as I could and shewed away the dog it then ran over to a baby and then chased someone on a bike. Ugh so I wont be walking that way any more! Also looking into getting a walking stick!
Does anybody have any interesting stories to share on there walking adventures?

Its not really a story of me walking one, but refers to a dog I fostered. I had a GSD named Molly. One day Molly got out of the yard, some how she opened the gate. Well the dog went out the yard and sat on the street corner waiting. The story is she never left the corner. My neighbor a few houses down who also had a GSD walked up to Molly and said " Okay molly, let's go home". Without a leash or anything, Molly started walking home with her. She never even touched or anything. Later when I got home, I couldn't find Molly anywhere. I opened the back door (we had a doggy door for her) and heard her barking. I walked to the sounds and Susan said, I think I found Molly. She told me the story and we all could not believe she just stayed on the corner till someone talked to her. She could have ran in the streets or who knows what. Too bad Molly and Tilly (susan's dog) didn't get along so we could have play dates. Tilly was a super dominate female and her owner wouldn't let her play.
