| We recently adopted a young female husky rescued from a neglect case in Wisconsin. She is presumed to be just under a year old, was spayed about 2 months ago and we have had her just over a month. For the first month she was doing great, only 2 pee accidents in the house. Then, suddenly it became a daily thing. Urine samples checked out fine. Now I have noticed she is peeing while she sleeps too. I have read huskies can have some sort of urinary system issues. Anyone have experience with this? She also has luxating patellas. Am thinking of taking her to a chiropractor I have used for our other dogs. I would appreciate any input. |

| It could be spay incontinence. Odin has it.

There's medication and hormone supplements available through a vet... Personally I would opt no on those and use natural remedies, limited water at night, and encouraging emptying of the bladder before bed time. Cranberry supplements are supposed to have shown some improvement and there's another supplement (natural) which is supposed to help strengthen the sphincter. I'll look that up... _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| My dog, Mya Blue started to have this problem about a year ago. At first we would punish her for peeing in the house, but then she started "leaking" while she slept and began to constantly groom her genital area. When I observed this closely, I saw that she was actually cleaning up her urine!!! I went to my vet, changed food, had the the tests done, and finally diagnosed it as incontinence associated with being fixed. I now give her a natural incontinence medicine twice a day. It is made by Resources and prescribed by her vet. Hope this can help your little girl! |

| If her pee checked out clean, I would think incontinence as well. Is she licking herself in that area a lot? If it is incontinence, it is easily managed with a daily pill. My sister's dog has it and it's not an issue when she takes her meds. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
