| ...and I have no FRIGGIN' idea what to do about it. All I managed to do today was beat the metal gate with the shovel until it broke. Seriously, I am ^ this close to tears. It's everywhere and either frozen solid to the ground or crumbly like half done mashed potatoes. My anger level is reaching critical. It's on their feet every time they come inside now. ¿WTF? Plus, sleds are beginning to blow. My clean house looks like an example of how not to keep a dog. I can't help but yell at them for everything they do. Like Coco sitting at the door staring at me to let her out because she stole Bubba's rawhide. I could kill her. So mad... |

| It's not so much the new stuff. I can keep on that pretty good. That's what was underneath from Christmas week. That ice out there is still four inches thick. Our yard after that last snow was eight inches of packed powder. This is the exposure finally getting to the base layer. Nasty nasty nasty.
Then I decided to go brush Sioux in the field at the middle school. I left one helluva mess there. |

| The wife is gonna kill me, but I think it's time to cover it in straw and deal with it after the first rain. So sad. |

| we went from snow covered to warm and rainy in 2 days. we had this brown pool out there, luckily the girls avoided it, NOW its all refreezing over. The good news is they pretty much stick to 2 spots when they go. kiki out in the far corner of the yard, and Keira (the shy one) has to go behind the house. The meter man will be pleased with that one |

| Yeah, the ice skating rink out there worries me. Two years ago Coco sliced her big paw pad in a similar frozen setup. Blood everywhere on a holiday weekend with no vets around. That thing bled for about 10 days, and the recovery took all of six weeks. |

| I feel your pain!! Luckily we had rain for an entire night and most of a day, so I went outside with an umbrella for probably about an hour to clean up. I filled a 5 gallon bucket and I only have two dogs, I am sure that you probably have more, unless you are not lazy like me and pick it up more frequently. Until it rained, though I just had to clean what I could and keep the dogs out of the main area. |

| Well, it happened. Sioux went bolting out of the garage to see what the neighbor dogs were barking about, and now he's limping holding up the left front. Ugh. At least he does put weight on it here and there.
Rain would be a godsend. This place is horrendously icy. But I did find out the hard way that half of the crap I thought was out there is actually crumbling leaf chunks. Little consolation with the problem that's still there. 30% chance of snow tomorrow, here's hoping on the other 70%!!! |

| wait i hear for sure 1-3 inches for all of us? i can now see my yard in the front and back! still some snow/ice here and there. and also have leaves on the ground that keep fooling me when im picking up back there. i hope Sioux gets better soon and at least he did not cut him self. jack does the flying aroun the corner of the house jumping on the deck and then goes flying out of control like a car turning on ice, it is funny to watch but im worried hes gonna hurt him self. _________________ |
