So the litter we were planning on getting a puppy from didn't work out, the dog is only going to have 1 or 2 puppies. So I started to look into other options. Megan pointed me towards a listing on the AKC classifieds and we went down to visit them today! The puppies were born May 7 and we will be bringing him home July 20th. We have yet to pick out a name. Right now it's either Bode (as in Bode Miller, the skier) or Logan (as in Wolverine!). Here are pics!

I know! It seems soon for us though because we were prepared for a puppy being born around now and getting him around September. This one caught us by surprise!

So excited! I'm glad we got to meet them in person beforehand and pick ours out, but now we've had the contact and know what a sweetie he is and want him NOW!

I couldn't even handle the 20 minute wait between deciding what puppy I wanted and taking him home.

Granted, however, that for Pup #2 we're hoping to do the same thing you are. Meet the puppies, pick our baby, and go that way.

I'm waiting for a litter that isn't supposed to even be sired until Sept/Oct and I'm worried the too small litter will happen to me despite the Dame having large litters. I'm glad that it all worked out for you despite that happening. He's really beautiful!

Yeah, the first litter we were expecting from, it was the dam's first pregnancy. Small litters are common for the first and then they get larger from there until they're older.

I like the name Bode as well. Mostly because Bode Miller's hometown is about 15 min from my hometown
