| Well as most of you know already, sister and I have been having a situation with golacious trying to pretty much kill axel... Well even after getting him fixed, and trying muzzles, and crating them next to each other, tying them close to each other etc etc, NOTHING was working, getting glacious to be civil with axel was not possible, so that lead us to the decisoin to adopt out artica and glacious, so after like 25 interviews with potential new famil;ies for them, and them all being denied, we came across the last one #26, a married couple with two kids. After meetintg several times and visiting their home we decided to let them adopt the two. It was the best decision ever for us and for artica and glacious, they now have free run of the whole home and backyard (which is huuuuge and very high heavy boarded fence) with their own lil pool and all, we all keep in constant contact and they send us pics every so often. Its such a relief though honestly, it was so...whats a good word...so tense all the time trying to make sure we close the doors quickly and gates etc etc so that axel doesnt get ripped to shreds. So anywho, now were back to just axel and roxy, but I just wanted to update yall and share the good news on behalf of artica and glacious <3 |

| Sorry it didn't work out with your later additions, but at least you were there to take them in when they needed it, get them cleaned up, and show them love. Your dogs must be so much happier, and in reality the other two probably are too. You can't do it all! I'm glad everything worked out in the end and I hope you don't feel bad. You clearly did your research finding them the perfect new home! |

But yah I really wanted to be positive that they went to the right home, I dont know if its over board but i actually rented some husky books and had them read them before they adopted them, and kinda gave them a pop quiz on the books on husky care and such, my sis and i LOL inspected their home, got references from their friends on their pet ownership side of life, asked about if they will be insured ( I paided for them to have two months of vpi just incase anthing should happen, we even had then take them home with them for a few night on a trial run, showed them how to groom them and clip their names properly, gave them a written guide on how to feed them and how much and how often, LOL yah we were very picky, sister and I didnt rescue them from something horrible only to throw them back into something horrible ya know? |
