| I still use the TOTW I purchase in Oklahoma it comes from an other plant than the one in SC that had most of the recalls. |

Their plant in MO had issues. I'll see if I can find the link to horrible FDA inspection report. |

| I switched Adobo & Biko over from TOTW long before the recent recall. I presently feed them Natures Select (Salmon) lower in cost, they love it and rated quite well but not as high as TOTW.
The best part is that finally at almost 3 yrs of age he can take a solid crap on a regular basis.

And you are right they have had recalls, I just don't like the way Diamond has handled theres...So it's a personal thing. (Nutro, Canidae TOTW and Chicken soup are diamond brands). What makes you mad in the way they handled the recall, just curious? |

| To clarify - Taste of the Wild is NOT a Diamond brand. It is only manufactured at Diamond plants.
I will continue to feed Taste of the Wild in my rotation - since it is one of only a few foods Bella does well on.

yes I did know that. I guess people had a problem because in the last several years there have been many recalls of Diamond foods, or foods manufactured in their plant. |

| It just seemed so shady to me, that and our mom and pop store had 25 dogs get sick off solid gold from recalled bags.
As I said, it's a personal preference. No judgement for those who feed TOTW. It is a very good food, especially for the cost.
Regardless, we will more than likely stick with freeze dried forever. The dogs love it.
I hope no one thinks I was being a butthead, I truly don't judge any of you for feeding totw. I still think its a great food. Now, if you were feeding purina or something.... |

| Megan I feel this is a place where we are able to discuss anything relating to our dogs, I am sure no one felt you were being a "butthead" lol, I surely didn't. |

| I was never feeding TOTW, but I have left the Diamond products. I have no problem feeding a dog food which includes healthy grains. I do have a problem with Diamond owning or manufacturing so many brands and we, the consumer, not having easy access to this information. Showing up at your favorite pet store to find the shelves nearly empty is a shock! My mom and pop pet store only stocks dog food with a rating of 4 stars or more. And if any food in the line is lower, they won't even stock the better stuff. Unfortunately, here on the east coast, most of the "good stuff" was pulled! I was feeding Premium Edge but have now gone back to Merrick. I occasionally feed NutriSource as well.
I just feel that Diamond should have learned its lesson years ago and evidently it did not. I am less concerned about the salmonella effecting Sabaka as I am concerned that my kids will contract salmonella from handling the food and not washing up afterwards. |

| Agreed Lisa, that's what I meant by the shadiness that they used when handling the recall. |

| Megan, We live pretty close to one another, where do you get the Acana at, I have 3 petstores I go to and none of them carry GL, THK or Acana. I live in Gibraltar and work in Novi so I have plenty of opportunities to stop anywhere. Chaos and Storm are both on TOTW, I would like to give them some variety, maybe freeze dried or cycle in a different brand. Also congrats on the Blue Buffalo job thats pretty cool. Thanks |
