Melissa I love your videos! Me & my hubby couldn't stop laughing at the first one! Her whines are adorable, & so funny! Haha & you know, I keep reading everywhere, on husky sites & books & stuff that this breed doesn't bark, I completely disagree with that! They do bark, maybe not as much as other breeds, but I think they really do! Your last video proves it lol.

That's Kody for ya! That was non-stop for FOUR HOURS on the way to the SFL Snowdogs camping trip in Feb. Go through my channel and you'll see them talking for sure!

We taught Ghost to say "I love you". I took this a couple months ago during breakfast time.

Here's Storm in the morning...when he wakes me up, when he goes downstairs in the morning, when he's ready for breakfast, whenever he has something to say, which is often!

Sierra went through a little phase when she would talk back when she was around 10-12 weeks. I would tell her "No" and she would talk back. My husband thought it was hilarious because it would go on for several minutes. He would always laugh when I told Sierra not to sass me.

She has been pretty quiet as of late....too busy teething and biting everything. I kinda hope it comes back...it was pretty cute.

He really does talk when he wants something or wants to play, but I'll have to find a video of that. Whiny baby that he is!

I love how the other dog is just looking at him like "really??" that is great. I use to live in Ocala...I can understand his pain! lol!

I know, right? As soon as Embry started whining, Fenrir dropped his massive buffalo bone, spun around, and stared right at the speakers. Then he edged over and stared, fixated, at the video on the screen.

Has anyone taught a husky not to talk so much...or at least not to talk back...LOL

My female always has a lot to say....she is also not shy about speaking her mind when she doesn't want to do something (like when I call her to come inside from the yard and she wants to stay out....she'll come in but yell at me as she walks by me on the way in)

My puppy has been barking regularly since he was 8 weeks old! We too, read all the husky books which said they didn't bark. Looks like he made a liar out of those books. In fact, he's more vocal than any of the other puppies at our puppy kindergarten class. My husband and I were kind of embarressed at first thinking we had the troubled kid in the group!. LOL! We realized quickly that his barking does not get in the way of his learning, so all is good. But all it comes down to is he barks when he wants something: our attention, to play, or he doesn't want to sleep anymore....and the winning barking moment is when he's going to get fed. He goes absolutely nuts barking and jumping up and down. However, he's such a good boy that he knows he has to sit in order to get his meal.

So after reading this and watching husky videos on here I decided I was going to try AGAIN to get my Chase to talk. I called him over to me and kept saying in a high excited voice "I love you" and wouldn't pet him and he immediately started talking to me Smile It even sounded like he was trying to copy the "love you" part several times. I've been doing it off and on for about an hour to see if he would do it again and every time he does it. Yay! He doesn't EVER bark and normally just does this whiney thing when he sees people other than us and he wants them to pet him. For me, he just walks over and sticks his head under my hand or uses his paw to pull my hand to him.
