| I have seen several pics with dogs hiking with the backpacks. Since I'm finally able to get out and walk the trails with the dogs, I was wondering what the best one to get is.
This is what I need it to be able to do: -hold clip on water bottles for the dog/me -carry medicine and first aid things -carry collapsable bowls -other misc items as needed.
I carry my own backpack, but since I have to carry special items in my backpack, it gets too heavy with everyone else's stuff lol.
Any suggestions or advice would be helpful! |

| I will let the seasoned vets comment on why you should get one, but I can tell you Ruff Wear makes great products. We have the Palisades Pack, Top Rope Collar, and Knot-a-Leash, and all are top notch! |

| I would go with any pack from ruffwear and if u need a lower price then REI, have not heard of any other packs holding up so well. _________________ |

| We have the ruffwear pack, and it is great. Do not get the cheap outward hound pack from petsmart, it didn't hold up for a mile walk around the block with us before the zippers fell off the sides! It is definitely worth the extra money to get a quality pack. |

| I'd second ... third ... whatever number we're on the Ruffwear packs. After that, REI like Jen said. |
