| honestly, go to the vet. a poorly healed break will be more expensive to 'fix' than doing it right the first time . poor puppy!! |

| if you DON'T take him to the vet, his leg/foot will not heal correctly. He will end up having a malformed leg and he will have issues with it, which could include having to amputate it.
You need to take him to the vet and ask about payment arrangements. Most vets wont turn you away as long as you can pay something. A GOOD vet wont let the dog suffer.
Not taking Ax to the vet is cruel. It's like not taking a person with a broken foot to the ER. |

| I would go to the vet too. Honestly. Plus you don't know if he's hurt anywhere else. Maybe your vet can give you a payment plan? Borrow money from family/friend? You were to get hit by a car and had a broken leg you'd be going straight to the hospital. Poor boy |

Plus Christina, in all honesty and not to sound mean or anything, but having a pet is like having a kid. You need to be prepared financially for medical emergencies. I understand that you have a big family to care for, but if you can't afford these type of situations then maybe it's not the right time in your life to have a pet |

| I really think you need to get him to a vet. Try calling around and see if someone will accept payment plans or there is always the care credit which I have never personally used but I know of people who have. (It's basically a credit card for emergencies such as this.)
You can also contact Sibe rescues or all breed rescues around you to see if they can help. Humane Societies as well...
I, myself, by no means am "well off" but I have a credit card with a good limit that is there for me for emergencies. My best advice would be to go to a private practice rather than a chain (such as banfield) as they once quoted my mother $1,300 for a surgery that our private practice vet did for $300. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Take the dog to a vet. Explain what happened and see if they have any suggestions about payment, or ways they can limit your costs. |

I called the animal hospitals here and none take payment plans and want money up front, how do i find out if theirs sibe rescues here? Not sure atm who said it but yes youd go to the hospital if you were hurt, but human hospitals tak you in no matter if you have insurance, money or whatever thy never turn you out. |

| A vet may say they wont help, but I have found that if you just show up, most aren't going to turn you away.
I agree with Melissa. No one wants to sound ugly, but this is a critical thing. You can't deny them the medical care. They are like your children, they rely on your for everything. I even had to go to get a pawn shop loan once after I lost my job and my dog got sick.
Care credit is a good option. "If there is a will, there is a way"

| I agree with Tiffany, don't you have a vet that you use? Just bring him in and explain your situation. Look into care credit, they will often list vets on their website in your area who accept them. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | In many states, your animals can be taken away as a case of animal cruelty/abuse if you deny them medical care.
I'm sorry, but please take Ax to the vet IMMEDIATELY. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| some banks have open lines of credit that you can apply for, and if you're approved, it hould take less than an hour to do the paper work. basically, it's a loan from the bank that you make payments on. if you are a member of a credit union, that would be your best bet. it's definately worth a phone call! |

| Have you tried the payday advance places? They wont give you alot, and you will pay back more, but it would most likley be enough to have axe treated and work out a plan for the rest. Alot of vets will nit treat with no money, but if you hand them a few hundred dollars, and they see you are trying to pay, then they might work with you on the remainder. |

| First of all, I am so sorry. second of all, I can relate Maggie never got hit by a car but she broke her leg.
Third of all, it is the most terrifying thing it the world! I didn't take her to the vet until the morning. poor baby she tried to climb on my lap when I was driving. She made me carry her the whole way into the vet. 70 pound malamute is not the easiest dog to carry.
I hope he gets looked at soon. If you can pay for the care credit card it will save so much more money. I think Maggie's break and everything cost me 400. I also know how to wrap splints. |

I really do hate people that talk like this in the middle of a crises. If you can not help with the issue then do not comment. You have no clue about this person financial situation. When she took the dog on she may have been in a much better situation. Who knows maybe someone stole all her money and CC last night so now she does not have access to any because she had to cancel everything. You just do not know. I am really so so sorry for this post but it is a huge pet peeve of mine for people to throw stuff out there like that during a time when some one is needing help. |
