Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Anybody familiar with a good but not totally expensive air purifier for the living room? Not just because of the dogs but dust and dirt that comes in. Thanks! |

| We have a Honeywell 50250-S air purifier that we use daily because my hubby has allergies to a lot of different things, including dust. Since we got it his allergy attacks have been GREATLY reduced and he breathes so much better which means he doesn't have to be taking allergy meds as much. I'm not sure what you consider "expensive" since cost is relative, but I thought our Honeywell was very reasonably priced.
Here's a link to the one we have: http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-50250-99-97-Round-Purifier/dp/B00007E7RY
It is a bit noisy on the medium and high settings but we only run ours on low at night while we are sleeping and it makes for decent white noise which my husband cannot sleep without so it works out perfectly. My only complaint with it is how bright the blue led light on it is when it's on. But if you're running it at night and the light bothers you, you can always find something small that is just big enough to cover the light. If it were in my dad's room (he can't stand any light at night) he'd probably tape a penny over the led light. lol _________________ |

| We have the same one as HuskyLuv but I do not remember what it cost, we got it at Target. We got it to catch some of the hair, dirt and dust. It works ok I guess I could tell the difference. Once a week he pulls the filter thing out and vacuums it and it's always full of hair and such. Now if I can find something to clean sand up all the time...lol |

I got mine from Ebay, they are an off brand. They were a 2 set, and only like 80 bucks. They have cleanable filters so I don't have to buy new filters. Since we got them, our house doesn't have the "dog" smell and we find alot less hair and dander on things. I LOVE IT! http://www.ebay.com/itm/TWO-NEW-FRESH-IONIC-AIR-PURIFIER-UV-OZONE-CLEANER-04A-/251007865164?_trksid=p4340.m444&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DSI%252BUA%252BLM%252BLA%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6860230684878626229#ht_2361wt_1245 |
