How long are you giving trillion to adjust to each food change? Best of luck though, i know how it is finding a good food that works for them at times.

Halo is fine. I find it harder to find than most other brands. Are you at Petco? I would use Wilderness if that is the option.

We tried wilderness with no luck Sad

We give her about a week and a half, but with how bad her poops are we can't do much longer, there was a point (while on wellness). She started pooping in her sleep then woke up.
I was awake. And she just looked bad Sad

Her poop is like pure water aside from on pure vita. It was still realllly bad but somewhat formed.

Defintiely Halo (and most foods) over Eukanuba (many years ago it was a good quality food, but it's not the same food these days)

It's a shame when it happens, Balon came to us loose stool and was on Nutro Ultra, eveything I tried either he wouldn't eat (Acana, Orijen) or made it worse until I tried Blue Wilderness, that did the trick he has nicely formed stool now thank god. But to each his own, find what works then stick with it. Good luck!

I really think you're switching foods way too fast on her. You need to get her on a bland diet to reset her (and not on rice). Once you reset her, you need to take it VERY slow or she'll go soft. My female takes at MINIMUM 3 weeks to completely transition to a new food. If I switch her too fast, her tummy gets upset and it's loose stools.

Are there any other circumstances (i.e. meds, eating things she's not supposed to, etc.) that is also in the mix?

You've been changing that poor dogs food waaaaay to much. The poor pup already has a bum leg don't go screwing up his digestive tract as well.

This includes for all the frequent food changers out there, read what Claudia said give at least 3-4 weeks to adjust. Just because the pooch take one runny crap doesn't mean his/her digestive is being torn apart. Dogs aren't like people where we can shovel all kinds of crap into our body w/o dire consequences, they need TIME. I sometimes think many suffer from Münchausen syndrome, and what a price the dogs have to pay.

I wish I could "like" this statement.

I agree, of course things are gonna be softer at first. Time is key and I think you could try the bland diet that Claudia often suggets, with Carrots and Eggs. So far, all of the threads I have seen her supply that info on, have ended up with dogs who can tolerate foods much easier.

Jasper,
Didn't you mention in another thread that you've tried about 5 or 6 different foods on her all within a month? That would mean that you switched her food at least once a week, even TWICE in a week on one or two occasions - that is WAY TOO FAST AND WAY TOO OFTEN! And no wonder you're now dealing with soft and watery stools.

As Megan stated, a lot of others here on the forum who has gone through soft stools and diarreha for weeks have gotten their pup's digestive tract reset with a bland diet and holding that for a few days so their pup has time to settle. Only then can a new food be introduced IN SMALL AMOUNTS OVER A PERIOD OF 3 TO 4 WEEKS....not days.

I'm afraid you're doing your pup a disservice by not having the patience and taking the time your pup needs. Your pup's digestive tract will NEVER have a chance to reset AND settle.
