2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! I noticed yesterdaybthat neo has what looks like a heat rash around his incision and on the inside of his thighs. He doesn't act like it bothers him, but it didn't look normal to me. He also has some crusties on the incision also. I'm going to take him Justin case, but hopefully its not infection!

hmm ... I've never seen that before. I would take him in as well. It looks like it would be uncomfortable Sad
Is he licking it or could it be rubbing against something like carpet?

Blaze work hard had licking. He ended up with and infection after 3 days and we put a hood on him and we had to cover it at night cause he would rub the hood on it then. We had him sleep in our bed room so we could watch over him. Good luck with the vet. Even if he had and infection it should be easy to clear up give it a few days..

Verdicts is in. Vet said it wasn't infected but was getting there. She prescribed him some antibiotics and some more anti inflammatory drugs to help with itching. Its my fault and I feel bad for taking his e collar off because I didn't think he was licking it. I feel like a bad mom Sad so hes got some meds in him, and his cone of shame back on and it was a 92$ mistake, but hes no worse for the wear, and he should be better in 2-3 days.

You're not a bad mom...if you're like me, you felt guilty about having the cone of shame on his neck and the pathetic looks he was giving you made you cave in. When it comes to licking things they shouldn't, they can be downright sneaky! I know I've run across that issue with both Dakota and Demon. Glad he's okay though. Smile

You're definitely not a bad mom!! They have a way of looking into our souls with those eyes! Almost like they can make us do anything with one pathetic eyelash bat lol Glad that it's nothing serious. He'll be just fine Very Happy

You're not a bad mom. If you feel bad about the cone, look into the inflatable ones. Chili had one when he had a rash - he used it as a pillow. Smile

Oh poor baby.. I bet that was uncomfortable but you are not a bad mom. I love this site because I am so happy to see responsible pet owners who love their babies as much as I do. It's so heartwarming to see and hear and you can tell how loved these babies are by how proud their mommies and daddy's are of them and that look in the fur babies eyes.. You guys are awesome..
