| I'm so excited to have stumbled onto this site! A great place to swap stories and info with other Sibe lovers. Me and Ty live in Northwest Florida, on the Emerald Coast with our two little boys and our two brand new Sibe puppies. We discovered Neptune, our 9-week old boy who was born on Oct. 29th, locally. A man who lived nearby had a litter of pups. Two days prior to finding him, I casually said to Ty that I would never get any dog other than a Siberian Husky. I decided it was fate and brought him home! He is a super sweet boy, who loves his cuddles and watching Monster Quest with me. About two weeks later, we were visiting family in TN, when we found an ad from a local lady who had a litter available. We were discussing how regretful we were that we didn't get two puppies when we had the chance. (Sibes are not common, at all, in the area we live in...very hard to find nearby) The lady was awesome, and had the cutest batch of pure white puppies! Calypso came home with us when we discovered she was born about 18 hours before Neptune! SO happy to have found my furfamily! *Nikki* |

| Hello form FL too, central FL that is! You think sibes are uncommon now, wait a year or so and you'll suddenly see them everywhere. We have a local sibe group with over 100 members! The sad thing is when I see so many sibes end up in shelters around here. My mom is fostering one right now. There's a big show breeder in Jacksonville, Indigo Siberians, too. The wife is a very nice lady.
And yes you will have your hands full with two puppies! Welcome to the forum! _________________ -Sara |

| Welcome to the Forum! I'm also in NW Florida, just east of Pensacola. As Sara said, it seems like Sibes are uncommon in our area, but I'm starting to find more and more. I've actually just started a meet up group, though yours are still a bit young for parks. There is another new member who lives in Milton as well, we'll have to arrange a play date sometime. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Welcome to the forum. Wow, two puppies at once will keep you busy! Sibes like company so I am sure they are glad to have each other.
I hardly ever see another siberian husky around here, there are a few malamutes and wolfdogs though. This forum is a great resource. |

Kale and I say HELLOOO from California (shades even tho it's foggy lol!) YEEEEEEEES indeed. Guess we figured, it's like twins, if we get them while they are young in twos, would we know the difference of having one? LOL, so far, it's working out great. They just love each other. - blueeyedghost wrote:

| Dang, they're probably too young, you'd want to wait until they were at least 14 weeks nad had all their shots including their rabies, but just in case, we're having a snowdog camp next month in Ocala the 3rd-5th. You are more than welcome to come! It's $25 per person and we're going to supply the food. If you like camping and want to meet other FL sibe owners, it's a great opportunity! | Yeah, like with the camp all the parks around Pensacola require puppies to be like 4-5 months and up to date on shots. Go check out the Husky Huddle and Malamute Mingle ~ Florida page on Facebook too. There are some crazies on there, but also some good info like meet ups and such.
Sara, Aaron and I are kicking around the Husky camp idea, but aren't sure if we can make it work. I'll catch you on Facebook later about it.
Nikki, I'll shoot you a pm and we can discuss more local stuff. I'm also pretty active on Facebook. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. Thank you!! We are scfy nerds, and pretty keen on star watching. Thought Neptune's eyes looked like the pretty blue planet..and being they live by the sea now, Neptune and Calypso just fit. Thanks for the invite, Sara! I joined the FB page you posted, and we will see how the pups are doing by then! Yes, please look me up on Facebook! Just shoot me a PM! |
