Hello, I joined this forum because I've been reading a few threads and thought once I get my sweet girl I could come here for advice. Currently she is 3 weeks old, she was born on July 14th. We've been planning on picking one out since they were a week old and went yesterday to finally get to choose (which was extremely hard to do) which pup we'd bring home in little over a month. Currently we haven't gotten a name for her but are trying hard to choose one since the lady we are getting her from said she'd start calling her by her name for us. If you have any suggestions let me know! I believe this is our pup from the 4 pictures of the pups she sent last week. I say I believe so because she's the only one that has a different colored ribbon on from when I saw them yesterday. But these are pictures from yesterday at 3 weeks. I cannot explain how excited I am to bring my little girl home! She told me to let her know if I'd want her to send me pictures throughout the weeks, poor lady is probably going to get sick of me asking!

Aw...she is so cute. I would attempt to spend some time with her if possible. I've never been able to name a dog just by looking at pictures. They have a way of choosing their own names when given the chance. I would absolutely take a picture a week. Then you could do a 52 weeks thread so you have a log of her changes for every week of her first year of life. It's amazing how much they change that first year. Welcome to the forum. _________________

I really wish it was possible for me to spend tons of time with her before we get her, but unfortunately the trip doesn't work with both of our schedules since it's a 2 hour drive into Missouri then 2 hours back into Iowa. I'm hoping once she's about 6 weeks we could make it down there to see more of her personality. I'm sure we could pick a name now and be settled on it but once she's home we'd think she would of been better fit for a different name but it'd be too late to switch if she's already stuck with one. It's definitely a difficult choice! Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome and congrats! I, too, just joined and will be getting my pup in Sept and he's similar to your little girl! I wish I could get pictures throughout the week so I would accept that offer if I were you! Good luck with naming her. I'm still trying to pick one out for mine and it really is hard when they live too far to see often since I also and a 2 hour drive away from my seller.
