| Well I ot the results from the blood test last week. He has protozoons, which are called Anaplasmose, don´t know if they have the same name in English. Now I must give him strong antibiotics for atleast three weeks. Now I know where all the health problems he had over the olast year came from. I hate them damn ticks so much, if I could I would kill them all.
I hope the regeneration of his liver after the medication will not be a big problem.
He also has a small hypofunction of the thyroid, but I will wait and deal with that after we got rid of the Anaplasmose.
Over the last year I went to several vets and none of them realized the symptoms, which means I wasted alot of money. On one hand I´m happy that I finally know what´s up with him but I´m also scared that there is some lasting damage to vital parts and joints, which can happen after a long time. and he has this monsters in his blood for atleast a year now. |

| Poor guy! Luka had anaplasma last year. Luckily we caught it before she had symptoms. Now I just get them tested for all tick-born illnesses every year. Ticks are so evil! Hope he feels better soon. |

| He seems to feel a bit better now. We still have two weeks of medication in front of us. my worry is that because he has it for months now that his joints etc. is not damaged yet.
From now on I will make this test once a year too. |

| We finished the medication for the Anaplasma this weekend. First it seemed that he is fit again because two days he was high energy like he was when he was about one year old, but since yesterday he is floppy again and now he has diarrhea. We have an appointment at the vet tomorrow morning. I really hope this whole thing will turn out the good way. |

| Poor guy, I hope you can figure out what's wrong with him and get him feeling better soon. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword.
