| Today has been a very interesting day for Koda & I. I let him sleep outside of his crate (he lets me sleep longer) on weekends, and he had done nothing to have me doubt him just yet. However, this morning I was taken from my sleep by the sounds of heaving. I believe he had eaten the lining on a towel he somehow had access to, and was having trouble either swallowing or throwing it up. I grabbed his collar and led him to my tiled bathroom floor and gently massaged his tummy till he threw whatever it was up. I was now face to face with a yellow mystery bile. I cleaned it up with disinfectant wipes, comforted him, and that was that.
Now for story two: he has a habit of orbiting around food sources while people eat. To avoid any accidental slip ups or annoyances, I placed him in my room for a few minutes while I ate. Not to mention there is an interior design student who my roommates & I are friends with who is spending the day with us with her work in easy access to Koda. I heard his typical whining and thought nothing of it. He actually had just started whining for the first time all day. Earlier he was fine alone. After I finished my food and walked inside my room, I find my brand new headphones destroyed, and my room key to our apartment front door (worth $100 in value to replace) was butchered. By the grace of God it is still functional, but he had a puppy kong, a huge chicken-flavored nylabone, a small original flavored nylabone, and access to his crate & even my dirty clothes in his reach but chose my key instead. I was extremely upset, but realized he wouldn't understand why. I placed the key down, and when he sat over it I moved him away, told him no, and claimed my key. He knows he's done something wrong now, and is quietly and distantly chewing his bones. |

| Ha, sounds like Kody! I always put him in his crate while we eat. Mya is allowed to stay out because she doesn't try to get all up in your food. She'll sit there and beg, but doesn't try to put her face in your plate! LOL! As for the yellow mystery bile. I think that's normal for dogs Or at least it's normal for my 2. They do it every once in a while. It's this crazy heaving attack and I even though I've seen them do it several times it still freaks me out. I'm like ahhh can you just get it out already! |

| Yea the yellow is the normal coloration of his stomach acids, nothing to be worried about. His tummy was just upset from the towel lining, and thankfully he threw it up before it went into his small intestine. Kale has eaten everything under the sun, including whole socks, my gloves, stuffing from toys, lining from toys...ugh. im jealous of the dogs who spit out pieces of destroyed toys lol Kale tryies and eats every piece haha |

| lol he and I have a lot of work to do, but he's getting there. Now that I've found proper correction methods that seem to stick, he's bound to stay out of most things when I'm around at least. Whew! Glad to hear that =D I didn't see much of the lining in it, but I'm sure it passed or what not. His stools are still nice sized & mostly firm, but I've been mixing Blue Wilderness Duck & Sweet Potatoes with his Solid Gold Wolf Cub so his tummy may be adjusting still. All in all, I'm watching him to make sure he didn't ingest something I'm not aware of. |
