| I had the same problem with Canidae but with my non-picky eater. Demon only would eat it because it was in his bowl and he knew i would take it away if he didn't eat it. He loves TotW and does great on it, also I've recently been trying Orijen which he goes nuts for. I can even use them as training treats which I can't do with any other kibble. It's pretty pricy though so I'm going to switch between Orijen and TotW to keep down on costs. |

| Mya used to be super picky also, but she seems to be getting over it. I feed her The Honest Kitchen Keen and Wellnes reduced calorie kibble. The trick with her was to start mixing the kibble with THK (SHE LOVES IT) or with some carrots or green beans. Kibble mixed with a little bit of anything and she's good. Now put down a bowl of just the Wellness and she looks at me like i'm nuts.
Kody, well he'll eat the world if i let him! |

| I've always subscribed to the belief that they will eat when they are hungry. Both dogs I've had have had free access to food, but I never feed beyond the maximum I allow daily. For instance, Sabaka has had food out all day today. His first cup sat until about 1:00, then I added a second cup. Those two cups sat until about 5:30 when he ate them both. And just now (8:30) he finished a third. Some days he only eats 2 cups. I have chosen for him the food that I believe will allow him to grow strong and healthy and will not break my bank. He will eat it.... eventually.... I cheat on occasion if I know i will be gone for a while and want to make sure he's not sitting in his crate hungry, I will mix a little plain yogurt or even a dollup of peanut butter into his kibble.
I have heard that the worst quality kibbles are often the tastiest. I don't know if that's true (actually, who would know that?!?!), but if it is, you should just stick to your guns and make her eat what's good for her. Kind of like kids and brocolli...
Good luck!

| This post hates me, it keeps not submitting my post properly!
Anyways, my boy loves venison- however I can't recommend you a kibble through first hand experience. I have only fed him Grandma Lucy's venison formula, and Ziwipeak's formula. They are AMAZING, but very pricey. I keep wishing THK would release a venison formula.
I know California Natural has a grain free venison formula. As I said, I haven't personally tried it. The only two grain free kibbles with venison that I know of are this and Natural Balance's LID formulas, but I don't like that sweet potatoes is first on the list instead of the venison. I would try looking for a grain free food though. No need for rice!
