2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. She used to eat a lot more. She's 6 months and I try to have her on a schedule. I put the food out at 6am thinking she will eat it. She doesn't eat it till about 10 then I have all food put up by 6pm (because she keeps waking us up in the middle of the night needing to go to the bathroom). Ideally I would feed her at 6 she eats and then feed her again at 5. Its not working out like that. Is it okay that she's only eating about 2 cups a day?

Every dog is different so I wouldn't be concerned if she's self regulating her portions. Keep an eye on her body condition and that should tell you if she's getting enough. But the fact that she leaves her food all day leads me to believe she's not lacking for food. Wink

Just keep an eye on her weight and keep her on the schedule that you want her on. You should be able to feel but not see the ribs and she should have a slight tuck at the abdomen. Based on your post though, I wouldn't be concerned.

It can be hard to tell when they are and aren't going thru a growth spurt. One of the things about huskies is that they can be pretty good at self-regulating their food intake. They were bred to expend a lot of energy on little food consumption. I used to regulate my dogs' food by putting it out at specified times, but once Volya came into the house, I was afraid I wouldn't feed him enough thru a growth spurt, so now they free feed and I notice that when Volya is eating a lot, he's growing and when he's eating very little, he's not. He's just eating based on his body's need which is probably what your pup is doing as well.
