| Wow! Those are beautiful pictures. Looks like it was tons of fun! You are lucky you live in an area where you can hike in the mountains. Sabaka is getting big!

| It looks like lots of fun! What I wouldn't give to have something like that close by. We just have corn and bean fields for miles upon miles. |

| Looks like you guys had a good time and a really pretty hike! Ahh, I hate stairs! lol Going down stairs with a pulling husky on the lead is just asking for trouble! It's nice to be able to put a face to the name now! _________________ |

| Thanks everyone! I was just amazed how he was not totally wiped out on the ride home. He did crash hard once we got home! He also had two diarrhea poos on the trail. I think he was just so excited his insides were just working overtime! I'm sure everyone knows the horrors of a husky pulling you down those steep places! I let Bob have the dog on the way down in exchange for me taking him up. A couple of times he stepped off of the trail into the slippery leaves and nearly slide down the embankment. He never slowed down!! |

| How beautiful! I wish we had areas like this in Miami. There's like NOWHERE to go on long walks on or hikes or anything of the sort |

| Amazing how much more scenic the woods are in other areas. Nothing more boring than some Colorado pine forest.
I love those trail systems out there. Are those forest service maintained or what? |

| This is Crabtree Falls in the George Washington National Forest and maintained by the forest service. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crabtree_Falls
There are lots of areas on the trail where there is just a bed of uneven rocks. You have to step gingerly to avoid turning an ankle (this is harder to do while being pulled by a dog). Also it has been a rather wet spring so we had to go through some places along the trail that were just soupy mud. The forest service does a good job clearing fallen trees from the trail and installing stairs and rails where needed. |

| Virginia has some lovely hiking trails. My favorite was Old Rag in the Shenandoah National Park, but that one may be a little too tricky with dogs (plus it's in a national park...). |
