| Welcome! Welcome! I actually looked at adopting Akitas before Huskies and am allergic to Akitas. Then we visited an Akita/Husky, and was still allergic....  But, not allergic to Huskies! _________________  |

Because Huskies have a coating on their fur that repels dirt and water, they don't carry the typical pollen, pollutants, dirt, etc. that most dogs carry in their fur. Often times, people with allergies to dogs (or animals), will find they do not react as bad, or hardly at all when meeting a husky because of this. Within 5 minutes of Akitas, Labs, German Shepards, etc, I will either break out in hives if I pet them, or my eyes will get bloody red and it will look like my cornea has bubbled up in my eyes. I was ready to give up on adopting a dog (we were looking at breed that fit our lifestyle), then I read about allergies and Huskies. I told my hubby that this is the last breed we'll test. Sat in a room full of husky hair for 2 hours and met 3 huskies, all of them in my face - and no reaction...we adopted Ginger almost a year ago, and still no reaction.....I now have 2. _________________ |

| The only breed we don't want here are Trolls. Your Husky/Akita must be a beaut, I love Akitas and meet up at the park on occasions with a few Akita owners. |

| We have 5 cats, so the carpet is their doing!
Yes has GSD colouring but only 18weeks old so its puppy fur. Likely to be Sandy yellow Black snout I think.
We also have a 5 year old Lab boy called Max.

| Huh, that's interesting. He's adorable but I don't see husky or akita in him! lol Does strongly resemble a shepherd mix though. How old is he and how much does he weigh now? I'm also curious, who told you what he is mixed with? _________________ |

| It's a her, called Fern.
Weight is 12KG (thats up 1.5 in a wk)
The people we got her from, they saw both parents. Mum was a Husky and Dad an Akita.
Defo Akita in her, she has a curly tail.

| It's hard to tell anything from the picture except how ADORABLE she is And not saying she doesn't have Akita in her, but I just want to point out that many dogs have curled tails... Huskies, Akitas, Malamutes, Pomeranians, ChowChows.... so that doesn't mean much But like I said, I don't think you can really tell much from that picture and the breed doesn't really matter anyway _________________ www.itsahuskything.com
