| Claudia, if you want, my parents will be visiting hopefully in the next few months and I can have them pick up the 54" for you to bring. Or you can order it off ryanspet.com |

| I am happy to report that Storm and Ginger has been left alone, free roam to the main floor of the house, without issue for up to 90 minutes.
Yay! _________________ |

| They were hanging out together - Storm was laying at the front door when I got home, and Ginger was in the family room. Both just chillin' when I walked in. _________________ |

| Tonight, hubby and I went out to dinner and then grabbed frozen yogurt for dessert. 2 hours and 10 minutes and they were angels - checked on them while we were out on the web cam from our phone. When we opened the garage, Ginger got up to meet us at the door.
I'm a proud Momma! _________________ |

| I was rather surprised when my two lasted that way as well. In a puppy-proofed household, they've lasted 8 hours alone loose! Not to mention the overnights they've spent loose and those are around 12 hours. Very proud mommas all around! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| We definitely built up that trust over time. We started with 30 mins... moved to an hour, two... a few... stuck there for a few weeks, then attempted 6 hours (that one was by accident I think) and it worked... since then we've consistently trusted them alone 6 hours.. they can go longer, but I try not to do that to them. It takes time, but they'll get there _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| I can't wait until mine are trustworthy roaming loose in the house while I'm gone. I'd love to be able to get rid of the crate and re-commandeer the area under my staircase as my wine cave. |

| My new pup is having a tough time being left alone. When left in her crate she barks, when left out she'll wine and bark. I havent left her more than 20 minutes alone in her crate yet, she seemed to being doing fine when i walked back up the stairs towards the end.
Sky was adopted from the shelter, and I think she might have alot of stress. She hasn't eaten much yet. She ate a little of a dry/wet mix (high dry %), but mainly ate the wet. She's only had a couple bowel movements, both were very short lived and soft and moist. She's also not treat driven very much, so the most I can do is praise her from outside the cage.
I did spend alot of time with her since adopting her, and crated her in the bedroom for the first few nights in case she got nervous. Do you think that's part of the problem, or should I chalk this up to a sudden change of surroundings and general stress? |

| I think it's probably stress from changing her surroundings as well as her fear that she'll be dumped again. Give her time, rescues can take up to 6 months to really come out of their shells and let their personalities show. Even just with taking Ghost up to Chicago for a week last week, she wasn't her normal self and hardly ate all week. Be patient, keep working on the crate training, and mostly be consistent with her.
