| Hi! I have a 1 year old female husky / Akita. She’s 35kg, currently eating 2 x 500g tin of tripe and 1 cup of dry food per day. Am I feeding her too much???!!

| I’m thinking Akita face / tail and Husky body. Her legs are so tall!!! I’m hoping she grows into them lol |

| She's beautiful. What is the combined calories of what you are currently feeding her? Without knowing the actual food specifics it's hard to say if you are potentially over feeding. Mostly you can go off body condition. If she has a nice tuck at her waist line and you can feel the hinting of the last couple rib bone when you lightly run your hands over her then she's a good weight. If you can't feel any ribs then she's overweight and you need to dial back. If the ribs are too pronounced and you feel more than just a rib or two then you need to feed more. _________________ |

| No idea on calories. But she gets 2 x Butchers Grain after Trip loaf 400g tin. And 2 x 200g Wagg Adult Beef and Veg dry kibble.
I can feel the ribs but not to much, no excess fat. Iv always had smaller dogs so I’m always wondering if I’m doing the right thing! She’s growing fast. With her being a mix of the two breeds it’s hard to know which guidance to follow! I may put her down to 1 bowl of kibble and 2 wet a day after speaking to a friend with an Akita. |

| Why does wagg sound familiar? I did notice the butchers website is British. Not so familiar with uk brands |

| @Lostmaniac Wag was a one time house brand for Amazon here in the states. I'm not sure if they're still doing it or not. Wagg is an independent brand - but if you google them they all end on the same list so I'm not honestly sure which is which... If you do an advanced search here you'll find that it's ( Wag / Wagg ) has been mentioned a couple of times. @katyellisonx you might want to take a look at AllAboutDogFood which seems to fit the same bill as our DogFoodAdvisor _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |
