Hello! I'm a first time husky owner. The vet described Sasha's color as Cream and Buff or Sable and White. I would love to see pictures of more huskies described as those color combinations!

Thank you! I was just hoping for members to post some pictures of their huskies with the same color pattern.

After taking another look at the link you sent, I'm not so sure Sasha is a sable husky. I'm thinking more saddle back now. I guess only time will tell! From what I've been reading, they get their permanent coloring around 6 months. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

My two are not Sable, but since I take TONS of pictures, LOL, I can demonstrate to you just how much they change in a relatively short amount of time. This is my boy, 9 weeks 4 months 8 months

I think you will see the grey darken. All the buff may not leave, but probably lose some in place for the darker grey. _________________

I think do too! She's already gotten so much darker since we got her, it's crazy! What do you consider her coloring to be called?

| Looks like yours might end up a grayish/light red coloring. For some unique Husky colors check out the below website. They are no longer active as a breeder but years ago I met someone who had a pup from them. Cool looking dogs.

The one in the 3rd pic down looks like a spitting image of squirts face clack on the muzzle and all. Her mom was a dirty faced agouti Its a way cool article on breeding for color

| Hey there! When I first got my Lightning, I was also really confused on what a 'sable' was and it was incredibly difficult to find other huskies with her color... I came to accept it and what a blessing she is. Such a rare and beautiful coat! I'm not so sure how to post photos here but I do have a link to my instagram which has a bunch of her photos!

Willow (see pictures above) had no sign of her black coloring on her back for a few months. I think Apollo is going to change pretty much as he grows. Then you'll see his more permanent colors
