| So I noticed this bump a couple of days ago. It's on Archer's front leg. It didn't seem to bother him and wasn't causing any problems that I could. He's getting neutered on Wednesday so I figured I would just have the vet look at it then. But today when I got home it was bleeding and looked horrible. I cleaned it up and it doesn't look as bad. It looks like he just chewed on it. Is this something I should take him to the vet immediately or do you think I can wait until he gets neutered?? |

| After a bit of googling I felt like I needed to add a bit more information. The picture is after he had been chewing on it. It normally looks like what I would consider a wart. I just found out that dogs can get warts so I'm assuming that's what this is. I've decided to wait and let him see the vet when he gets neutered. He goes to daycare on Monday so if it's changed by then I'll have the vet take a look at him while he's there. If anyone knows anything or thinks I could be wrong please let me know!! Also if anyone has any experience with this I'd love to know. Is it a one time thing? Will he get more?
Thanks! |

| It could be a wort or it could be a bug bite. In general worts don't bother dogs and they don't often chew at them unless something has caught them and caused them to become wounded. I would make sure it didn't get bigger, you can rub a little neosporen on it to help it not get infected, but I wouldn't take him in early over it unless it grows larger or starts to really ooz. _________________ |

| So far it looks like it hasn't changed or maybe gotten a little smaller. It hasn't bothered him since then so I'm not sure if it got cought on something or maybe Nikita was chewing on it. They tend to chew and lick on each other so it wouldn't surprise me. It doesn't hurt or bother him when I mess with it. He was outside when I got home from work and I noticed it when I let him in so I have no idea what happened. |

| I would still have the vet look at it during the visit, if it is just a weird growth they can take it off during the neuter. better then chancing it getting larger and harder to remove and having to go under again.
Jack is much older but he went in for a teeth cleaning and i had 11 bumps taken off just in-case they grew, she used a hot laser and cut them off. _________________ |
