Last night spider got into my hubbys 1:1 thc:cbd drops. She at most got 150mg of it. Spent all night and day watching her, spoke with the vet 3 times. She finally ~18hrs later is starting to act normal. But normal is in waves. Ive been digging around alot for recovery time, 100 billion people have this issue but they dont seem to have anything about recovery more about the support care done immediately after they went to the animal er. I cant believe it happened and if anyone has info on recovery of thc poisoning in dogs i would greatly appreciate it. I did not rush spider to the vet because by the time i realized what happened it had been almost 8 hours.

You will probably not find anything on recovery time because it is greatly dependent upon the individual and their metabolism how long it can linger in the system, as well as the quality of the product ingested. Even after things seem back to normal Spider could still test out positive for it. Just keep an eye out for signs of dehydration if she is too out of it to drink consistently. If she seems to be getting dehydrated then you may need to take her in for an IV. Other than that I'm not thinking there's much to do or worry too much about with the amount that she got relative to her size as long as it's been now. _________________

Shes still alittle out of it today but mostly normal. Shes drinking and eating. Its not something i ever want to experience again. I discovered doggy poison control and lots of conflicting evidence on the actual overdose. We did almost rush to the vet last night, not because of the thc but because from the thc she fell off the deck. Its only 18 inches but its concrete on the ground.

| with the expansion of THC availability and legalities the rise in incidents will bring about more information in time. And I don't think it will be much time we have to wait before some level of funding comes out to help identify the issues as well as long-term effects of this happening. Might be worth a good detox of the liver and some kidney support for a while after. Processing any kind of toxin can be hard on both organs.

Well, I had to go satisfy my curiosity ... I haven't 'indulged' in many, many years so I don't have to be too concerned about my pups getting into any (unless it's one of my friends who do indulge.) @lostmaniac I see what you mean about 'conflicting evidence' it isn't bad enough that you're talking about THC (which I presume is the active ingredient in your husbands drops) but the discussion seems to be oriented more on the CBD portion which seems to not be a major problem in normal human / canine doses. Hopefully in a few days / weeks you can look back on the 'stupid dog' episode. But please do let us know how this progresses. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford .

Update... shes back to being a normal bitch in heat with a touch of the munchies. I have a few hours till the nightly bouncing off the walls. If it happens shes over it if she stays calm and doesnt act like nut ill know its still effecting her. @aljones the drops are 50% thc 50%cbd I dont think any dog i own or will own in the future could outdo my lab/malinois SAR dog that got stuck 25 feet up an oak tree. She made it up the vertical ladder to the hay loft a d got stuck there also. I think she was part cat
