So I have been using Origins 5 in 1 supplement for a few months now and figured I would do a review.

Origins 5 in 1 supplement Review Origin10

A little background: I have 3 dogs ranging from 50-80 pounds. One has arthritis in her hips and back and two have hip dysplasia (more HERE on their severity and HD types) My big male suffers from being allergic to the world so we often fight hot spots and yeasty skin to go along with his bad hips.

I have had my dogs on a range of joint supplements since I've had them and managed to keep them stable and comfortable through supplementation and proper weight management. In the past some changes in supplementation have caused them to backtrack. We have been using Origins 5 in 1 for around 3 months now and I have not seen any back sliding with their joints since being on it and off of all other joint/skin/digestive supplements. What has been handy though is that I have seen great gains in skin health for my allergic-to-the-world boy. We are seeing much faster healing when a hot spot happens. The hair grows back faster. Less yeast build-up and smell.

Origins 5 in 1 is a powdered fish based supplement that you measure and add water to. I use it as a topper to my dog's food. For the calorie concerned this will add around 100 calories to your dog's daily intake for dogs our size if feeding at the recommended rate. This will replace a fish oil supplement, hip supplement, and probiotic which is another thing that I like. While a bit pricey it means I only have one thing to add to my dog's food and only one thing to buy and store.

Here is their site: https://roguepetscience.com/product/origins-canine-5-in-1/
For those who use Prime it is available on Amazon which was another huge plus for me. The fishy smell is great for picky eaters, though none of mine are that.

Why I prefer this over Missing Link? My dogs have allergies to things that are in the Missing Link. Missing Link is cheaper if buying smaller bag, but the ingredient list isn't as clean and you don't get as much work out of a formula from Missing Link as you do out of Origins.

I'm noticing a "yeasty" smell around Jasmine's ears some. Doesn't seem to be bothering her too much but I've wondered if a supplement like this might make a difference. She is starting to slow down just a little..but she is 12. She would probably benefit from it. I had been looking at "Missing Link Overall Health".

Barney has some dry skin this time of year from the forced heat but that's about it.

Hmm. My initial reaction was maybe I should try this for Ami. Then 100 calories affraid Mebbe not!

Looked at the ingredients. It's menhaden fish meal plus additives. Hmm. Ami's Victor high pro plus number 6 ingredient is menhaden fish meal. Plus s bunch of named pro or pre biotics. So I guess we're stick with what is working. Not for you though, it has chicken meal number 5 ingredient and, if I remember correctly, that's one of Kyle's allergens?

Glad it's working for you!

Yeah, we can't do chicken or egg, nor potatoes, and flax is iffy. Finding food and treats is rough, which is why we are relying on raw. We also don't do lamb anything because Kenzi won't eat it.

Ugh. Lamb. My latest batch of bones from the butchers had 2 bags of lamb bones. One bag almost all done sections, about 5 inches long. And covered with quite a bit of meat, probably should really cut back on the kibble until those are gone. But. Ami stinks after chewing those! More so than than the beef bones. Gross.
