| Can anyone link a good de-shedding brush or anything really to help with shedding. My husky mix has shortish hair but he sure as hell sheds a lot still. First time husky owner so I'm quite clueless on a few things and unfortunately that includes grooming. |

| With a short coat that, I find a slicker brush works well. I like this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Spetacular-Dog-Self-Cleaning-Slicker-Brush-Large/44805496?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222228032587383&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=63640693592&wl4=aud-481962823846:pla-127434246512&wl5=9005809&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=44805496&wl13=&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAjwvuzkBRAhEiwA9E3FUpPvlWtmbob5jT3-HPp8E_5fsueupCUpI7Q4Hcn1wOLrfdi8P3uQAxoCpzcQAvD_BwE
Another alternative is a high velocity pet dryer to blow out the hair. https://www.amazon.com/PawBest-Speed-Adjustable-Grooming-Yellow/dp/B0772NRJFH/ref=asc_df_B0772NRJFH/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241867812897&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=719459047349067755&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005809&hvtargid=pla-485391721896&psc=1

| We use a pin brush and a rake. Oddly enough, the first rake we got had short(ish) tines and I thought it worked pretty well. Then I got a longer-tined one because of our wooly coated boy. BUT, it works better even on our shorter haired girl.
Neither are as short-haired as yours, though.
Understand, during shedding season (our Mika has currently been shedding for MONTHS), even brushing EVERY DAY will probably not be enough.
A trick someone told me about but I haven't done yet is, if you live in a neighborhood where the houses are close together, brush them at the park. Otherwise, your yard (and your neighbor's yard) will be coated with husky hair. |

| +1 on brushing in open spaces.
We've only had Kona for 7 months now. He didn't blow too bad this fall (fresh from the shelter), but I wasn't too surprised when I easily pulled a fistful of down out of Kona's hip yesterday.
So we went down to the beach where the wind was a steady 12mph. I brushed him out, but what really did it was just playing with him - looked like a snowstorm! |

| Quick update - Kona is BLOWING his coat!
I've been rubbing him down outside and sending hairstorms down the street - the local sparrows love us! The house, however, still looks like we sheered a running sheep... |
