Both my husky puppies are having issues pooping in a timely matter compared to before. Before this issue. It would take around 30-45 minutes. Now it’s taking them anywhere from 6-8 hours to go. My girl husky is eating Taste of the wild salmon puppy recipe. And the boy is eating royal canine puppy recipe. I put the boy on royal canine because of diarrhea problem. Since switching to royal canine for the last 2 months. His poop has been solid. But now I’m facing a dilemma. For the last couple of weeks. They both are both taking a very long time to go poop now. The diet is still the same. The only thing different that my wife did. We changed their bowls that we bought from Costco to help slow down their eating habits. But they’ve had those bowls for a couple of months now. And secondly, we leave them in the crate for a longer period of time now due to our work schedule. And that’s been going on for a couple of months now. I don’t think they are conatipated. Cause it looks like they are pooping without struggles. And they don’t show any signs that they are having issues when they poop. 2 different vets told me after being checked up. That they are both fine after a fecal test and stool test. They said it’s just something that will pass. That’s really not an answer I want to hear. Anyone else have any ideas of what’s going on?

Being confined for longer periods of time means less water and less movement to "work things out" at a faster rate. You will also see this with age as well as they get older. As they grow, everything grows, and food will just have a longer way to travel through their system to get out the other side. As long as they aren't struggling to poop, trying multiple times to go before actually getting the job done, the poops are dark in color or have a strange consistency, then I wouldn't be too concerned.
