That's normal standard coat. His coat will change based on his environment. Cold weather verses hot etc

@dyaugo I have to take exception to you comment. It's been my experience that climate has little or nothing to do with their coats. I live on the Chihuahuan desert in south Texas and my two Sibes are just now blowing their normal coats - and both of them have heavy undercoats. It was also 95°f this afternoon. They'll regenerate their undercoat as spring turns into summer, like the insulation in your attic, the undercoat keeps them warm during the winter and help them regulate their body temperature when it's "warm" our as well.

Point taken. I thought the OP was talking about the topcoat? I understand how the undercoat provides the needed installation, but the guard hairs also provide the protection from the snow and wet climates. I feel that they will produce more topcoat / guard hairs based on the environment they live in.
