biting - Puppy keeps biting!!! Empty
PostSubject: Puppy keeps biting!!!   biting - Puppy keeps biting!!! EmptyFri Oct 05, 2018 9:45 pm

Recently, I have notice that my 10 week puppy is starting to bite me a lot more than usual. Everyday I have new bite marks on my arm and his bites hurt! Ive tried to yelp, say no, give him a toy, but he always comes back to bite me. He bites down and tries to pull on the skin so I quickly push him away and say no because it hurts, but nothing seems to work. Every time I try to pet him he tries to bite, when I try to put his collar on him he bites, I've noticed that he doesn't try to bite when he's tired. He only bites me but he barley bites my brother, the person who spends time with him the most (feeding, training, playing, etc.) I am barely home and because of this I don't get to spend too much time with him, but when I do come home to greet him, he tries to constantly bite me. It's gotten to the point where I'm a little nervous around him, I try not to show it but these bites just hurt and it gets frustrating to be around him. It's hard for me to tell if he's playing because these bites are so aggressive. And this is just with his baby teeth, I can't imagine how it'll be when he gets his adult teeth and becomes a 70lb dog. Please help, this is really worrying me!!

He's probably working on those adult teeth now. Their biting can get crazy when the teething starts. Try training him when you are home. Put him in a sit then pet him. Run him through his tricks to earn pets. It can help you bond in the time that you do have together and it gets his attention and helps to tamp down the excitement he has for you before you go in for petting.

He's definitely getting those adult teeth coming in. Be patient and consistent and keep up with the training. It can definitely be frustrating but once those adult teeth are fully in keep the training going and it'll get better.

Good luck!
